Focus on the Logistics Service

The Logistics Department is made up of 12 people.

Position currently in charge of monitoring the following countries: Yemen, Ukraine, Colombia, Venezuela.

And the Mission Logistics Officer in all this?

As a Mission Logistics Manager, you will be in charge of monitoring and controlling logistics procedures and practices and you will provide technical and strategic support to the missions for which you will be in charge.

To this end, your responsibilities will be as follows:

  • Mission and headquarters strategies and programming: You will participate in the reflection and development of mission programming and the logistics service. You will participate in the structuring and implementation of the logistical framework of the missions followed.
  • Monitoring and control of procedures: You will ensure the development, updating and implementation of logistics management and steering procedures and tools on missions. You will participate in the development of project proposals by ensuring compliance with the logistical procedures of the association and donors. You will contribute to the development of donor reports.
  • Support for the logistics strengthening of missions: You will support logistics coordinators in the implementation of good logistics practices and capitalization.
  • Security: You will support logistics coordinators in understanding the security plans defined by the association and in their positioning and support for operations.
  • Human resources: You will ensure the recruitment of expatriate logistics teams and you will provide training and support for logistics coordinators remotely and during field visits.

The challenges that await you:

  • Support the missions of your geographic center on all logistics aspects
  • Contribute to the dissemination of the PUI Log framework
  • Participate in the structuring of the new operational log service

What you will need to succeed

Training

You can provide proof of training (Bac+2) in logistics, supply chain and/or humanitarian logistics.

Experience

You have experience in a similar position at the headquarters of an NGO or you have professional experience of at least 4 years, including 2 years on an international solidarity mission. Do you know the intervention areas? This will be greatly appreciated. Have you already worked with Première Urgence Internationale? This will be an undeniable asset!

SKILLS

You are familiar with the purchasing procedures of the main donors. Do you know telecommunications tools? It’s a plus !

Required qualities

You demonstrate good interpersonal skills, ease of communication, both written and oral, and you have a taste for teamwork. You demonstrate reliability and a sense of responsibility, rigor and organization, responsiveness, adaptability and you have negotiation skills. You have excellent resistance to stress and an ability to work under pressure.

LANGUAGES

Do you master French, English and Spanish? This is essential for this position!

PUI will offer you

Status frame

Salary: 3200 EUR gross monthly over 12 months

Medical coverage: 80% of health and welfare mutual insurance

Coverage: Coverage of 50% of the transport ticket and 60% of Restaurant Tickets (with a face value of €9)

Rest : 5 weeks of paid leave per year + 1 RTT per month (37 hours/week)

Face-to-face or teleworking position (with 2 days of visits to headquarters per month).
Annual visits or as needed to the countries monitored are also to be planned.
