Responsibilities and Accountabilities
Under the supervision of the Information Management Officer, the Consultant will develop a mobile application in native and/or hybrid code for the Sudan information management system, RIMS, and publish it to the Android store.
Deliverables:
- Application specifications document.
- Weekly progress reports.
- Source code of the application, along with detailed technical documentation.
- Publish the application to the Android store.
- Create a user manual.
- Perform such duties as may be assigned by the supervisor.
Required Qualifications and Experience and/or skills required: Education:
- Candidates should have a university degree in computer science, information management, or related fields and demonstrate experience in mobile and web application development.
- Candidates should provide a portfolio containing examples of their achievements.
Experience:
- Five years of developing and deploying native, hybrid or cross-platform mobile applications.
- Experience in developing mobile applications with Drupal as a backend
- Experience integrating external APIs in mobile applications.
Skills:
The incumbent should exhibit the following skills and technical expertise:
- One of the following –
- Flutter
- React Native
- PhoneGap or Ionic
- Kotlin or Java
- Knowledge of REST/JSON, Bootstrap and Angular JS.
Languages:
- IOM’s official languages are English, French, and Spanish.
- For this position, fluency in English is required (oral and written). Working knowledge of Arabic is an advantage.
