ACTED Chad
Acted has been operating in Chad since November 2004 and in Lac since 2011, where it carries out emergency and resilience interventions with refugee, displaced, returnee and vulnerable host populations.

Acted Chad has more than 130 employees and directs its operations from its national coordination base in N’Djamena.

With a regional coordination base in Bol and a sub-base in Daboua, Acted’s programs currently take place in the departments of Mamdi, Fouli and Kaya, in the Lake Chad Province. Acted’s strategy combines an emergency response within the Rapid Response Mechanism (RRM) consortium through food assistance (food/cash and non-food distribution programs, nutrition) and shelter; and support for early recovery through programs to combat malnutrition and multi-sectoral approaches in Water, Hygiene and Sanitation (WASH), emergency education (EiE), disaster risk reduction (DRR) and strengthening of means of existence.

Main role and responsibilities
The Technical Coordinator is responsible for providing coordination and support, strategic planning and technical support for activities in a given geographical area, in a given sector. He/she plays a key role in providing technical elements for the sector strategy and the development of the project at the local and national level. In addition, he/she supports the project team for the planning, design, implementation, supervision, potential deployments and administrative management of the technical interventions in the sector.

Qualifications and skills required
Diploma in a relevant area of ​​expertise;
At least 5 years of experience implementing field projects, preferably in an international context;
Have a strong team spirit;
Familiarity with the aid system and ability to understand the requirements of donors and governments;
Excellent communication and writing skills;
Ability to coordinate and manage project personnel and activities;
Proven ability to work creatively and independently, both in the field and in the office;
Ability to organize and plan effectively;
Ability to work with groups of people from different cultures;
Ability to travel and work in difficult conditions and under pressure;
Fluent English is required;
Terms
Salary defined by the Acted salary scale according to the level of studies, expertise, level of security and level of experience: between €2900 and €3100 net monthly (before income taxes)
Monthly living expenses allowance $300
Guesthouse accommodation and food covered by Acted
Social security, mutual (MSH) and repatriation assistance (SOS International) supported by Acted
Transport to the mission and return ticket fully covered every 6 months (to the address specified on the employment contract)
Visa fees covered by Acted
R&R every 3 months (plane ticket covered up to $500 + additional compensation of $200)
One week of preparation for departure including 4 days of immersion safety training
Possibility of having a 30-minute call with a tax consultant
Psychological support (meeting with a professional)
