Quote Validity: The Consultant agrees to hold the prices in its offer firm for 60 days from the date specified for the receipt of offers unless another time is specified in the addendum of the RFP.

Background:

FHI 360 brings multi sectoral expertise to design, deliver, evaluate and scale solutions to environment and climate change (ECC) challenges. This integrated, 360-degree approach is needed to achieve sustainable, resilient, just and balanced outcomes for people and the planet.

Scope of Work (SOW):

FHI 360 seeks to hire a vendor to support the Asia Pacific Environment and Climate Change (ECC) Team to perform the following tasks:

1.Climate-Smart Health Care (CSHC) Sessions

  • Co-design a 1-day CSHC workshop to be organized on October 29, 2024 in Hai Phong, Vietnam (1 day prior to the Green Hospitals Asian Conference (GHAC) 2024) to strengthen the capacities, skills, and knowledge of FHI 360 staff to serve as CSHC champions and enhance collaboration within and beyond the organization.
  • Co-design, organize and moderate a series of pre-workshop preparatory webinars from August until the October 2024 conference (approximately 4 sessions) to equip conference participants to effectively engage in the pre-conference workshop.
  • Build capacity of selected FHI 360 staff members on workshop facilitation skills to be ready to moderate the 1-day CSHC workshop and selected sessions of the pre-workshop webinar series.

2. Air Pollution and Heat Positioning Campaigns

  • Co-design a positioning campaign’s action plan to establish and strengthen FHI 360’s positioning as an effective actor addressing air pollution and its impact on health. This entails designing the campaign framing, target audience, messaging, and activities to be implemented over a 12-month period.

This entails designing the campaign framing, target audience, messaging, and activities to be implemented over a 12-month period.
  • Organize selected activities as agreed with FHI 360 under the positioning campaigns for air pollution and heat.

3. APRO Retreat

  • Co-design, plan, and facilitate FHI 360’s APRO Retreat, scheduled to take place by September 20, 2024. This includes ensuring that climate considerations are integrated into the retreat’s agenda and activities.

Deliverables:

1. Climate-Smart Health Care (CSHC) Sessions

  • Develop and submit the agenda of the one-day CSHC workshop to be organized in Hai Phong, Vietnam for FHI 360’s review and input.
    • Due date: 8/8/2024
  • Develop and submit the agenda and timeline of the pre-workshop preparatory webinars on CSHC (including proposing approaches to build capacity of selected FHI 360’s staff on workshop facilitation skills).
    • Due date: 8/8/2024
  • Finalize the agenda of the one-day CSHC workshop and the pre-workshop preparatory webinars, including incorporating input from FHI 360.
    • Due date: 15/8/2024
  • Organize and facilitate at least 3 pre-workshop preparatory webinars on CSHC for FHI 360 participants.
    • Due date: 24/10/2024

2. Air Pollution and Heat Positioning Campaigns

  • Develop and submit the first draft of the action plans for 1) the air pollution and 2) the heat positioning campaigns to strengthen FHI 360’s positioning in these areas. This entails designing the campaign framing, target audience, messaging, and activities to be implemented over a 12-month period.
    • Due date: 15/8/2024
  • Finalize the action plans with input from FHI 360.
    • Due date: 22/8/2024
  • Per the agreed action plans, organize and facilitate at least 3 activities during August and September 2024 to strengthen FHI 360’s positioning as an effective actor in these areas.
    • Due date: 20/9/2024
  • Per the agreed action plans, organize and facilitate at least another 3 activities during October and December 2024 to strengthen FHI 360’s positioning as an effective actor in these areas.
    • Due date: 13/12/2024

3. APRO Retreat

  • Building on the draft concept note developed by APRO’s retreat committee, submit an updated agenda of the APRO Retreat for FHI 360’s review and input.
    • Due date: 8/8/2024
  • In collaboration with FHI 360, finalize the agenda/ activities of the APRO Retreat.
    • Due date: 15/8/2024
  • Organize and facilitate APRO Retreat as agreed on the agenda.
    • Due date: 15/9/2024
  • Submit a report summarizing the key takeaways from the retreat.
    • Due date: 25/9/2024

Period of Performance and Level of Effort:

July-December 2024

Location of Work:

Bangkok, Thailand or working remotely.

Travel:

In Thailand for the organization of the APRO Retreat.

Qualifications:

  • At least 8 years of experience in organizing, moderating and supporting workshops/conference events, including delivery of international conferences for UN agencies, international organizations, governments and/or other non-profit or development organizations, or related work of a similar nature
  • Experience developing communications campaigns, implementing programs and organizing events/meetings related to environment and climate change is preferred.
  • Must be able to moderate the session with fluent English.
  • Excellent analytical and organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Must have ability to change direction quickly based on the latest developments and inputs.

Evaluation Criteria:

Proposals will be evaluated in accordance with the following criteria:

Evaluation Area:

  • Bidder’s qualification, capacity, and experience
    • Proportion: 40%
  • Responsiveness of the quote to the requirements, clearly stating an understanding of the services/works to be performed
    • Proportion: 30%
  • Cost factor
    • Proportion: 30%

  • Tax Registration issued by the Internal Revenue Authority evidencing that the Bidder is updated with its tax payment obligations, or Certificate of Tax exemption, if any such privilege is enjoyed by the Bidder
