Regional Advocacy Advisor At Tearfund

We support people to drive change, nurture their leadership, and join them up with our research, media and campaigning work at national and regional levels.

We’re looking for an enthusiastic leader to join our team in this new and exciting role.

We’re looking for someone who is:

• an excellent team player
• good at working flexibly and in partnership with others
• able to lead new and expanding areas of work
• experienced in advocacy, research and influencing, particularly in the area of climate change and poverty
• map and build relationships in the West Africa,SEA & ECA Regions with allies and other relationships crucial to shaping policy positions relevant to the achievement of the Countries’ Strategic Objectives.
• Explore and implement inter-regional Advocacy initiatives for West Africa/ECA/SEA and Pan-African collaboration on campaigns and engaging the AU.

You’ll build relationships with grassroots groups, networks and allies to strengthen social movements across Africa. You will provide policy expertise and lobbying to help drive forward policy and behaviour change on environmental and economic sustainability issues. You will be working alongside a passionate and ambitious team, and will love to pray for change, believing that God can and does do amazing things.
