Founded in 1979, Action Against Hunger is an international non-governmental organization that fights against hunger worldwide. Its charter of humanitarian principles – independence, neutrality, non-discrimination, free and direct access to victims, professionalism, transparency – has been its identity for over 40 years. Its mission is to save lives by eliminating hunger through the prevention, detection and treatment of undernutrition, particularly during and after emergencies related to conflicts and natural disasters. Assignment :
You will be responsible for ensuring the quality, relevance and scaling of the SMSP, Protection and Gender strategy and interventions on the mission, in compliance with ACF and international standards and national policies.
More specifically, you will be responsible for:
Contribute to the definition of the country strategy, and to the definition of the strategy and positioning of the SMSP technical department.
Coordinate the identification of needs and the formulation of project proposals.
Support the implementation and ensure the reporting of programs/projects.
Guarantee the quality and accountability of projects, ensure the active participation of ACF in national sectoral coordination, technical platforms and develop sectoral partnerships.
Promote capitalization, development, technique and research within the SMSP department.
Ensure the technical supervision of Project Managers in SMSP.
Ensure frequent contacts with health authorities, coordination mechanisms (OCHA, clusters, WGs, etc.), UN agencies and NGOs.
You will be required to make numerous trips to the field (approximately 30% of your working time).
Profile:
You have a university degree in psychology with proven experience in program coordination positions focused on mental health and protection.
You have experience in designing, implementing and monitoring projects and in leading working groups/steering committees.
You have knowledge of care practices and basic animation techniques.
You have experience in analyzing program data.
You have mastered the protocols for psychological care and psychosocial support, psychological first aid and emotional stabilization.
You have excellent IT skills.
You have good communication, listening and observation skills.
You must be fluent in French and English (both spoken and written).
YOUR TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT
International Package:
Fixed-term contract under French law: 12 months
Start date: As soon as possible
Gross monthly salary: from 2130 to 2475 euros depending on experience
Per diem and monthly living expenses: 583 euros net, paid in the field
Monthly context allowance: 150 euros
Child allowance: 1500 euros per year and per child present in the country of origin (ceiling of 6000 euros/year)
Transport and accommodation: Coverage of travel and collective accommodation
Medical coverage: 100% coverage of health contributions (CFE + supplementary health insurance) and repatriation insurance
Leave and RnR: 25 days per year of CP and 20 RnR per year; coverage of the ticket with ceiling to go to the chosen break zone, and 215 euros of fixed allowance per RnR
National package:
Fixed-term contract under Cameroonian law: 12 months
Gross monthly salary: from 1,637,835 FCFA to 1,734,521 FCFA depending on experience
Medical coverage: 80% of the coverage for you and your legally recognized beneficiaries
Accident coverage only for you
Death benefit and funeral expenses for you (to be paid to your beneficiaries if applicable)
Contribution for school fees of 40,000 FCFA / per school-age child payable only in August
Holidays and RnR: 2 days of CP per month of work
