1. BACKGROUND
The Lutheran World Federation is a global communion of churches in the Lutheran tradition, founded in 1947. It has 149 member churches in 99 countries. World Service (WS) is the development and humanitarian assistance arm of the Lutheran World Federation (LWF), seeking to bring together people of all backgrounds to achieve justice, peace and reconciliation in an increasingly complex and fragmented world.
The LWF is a founding member of ACTAlliance, a global coalition of 148 churches and related organisations around the world, which aims to bring about positive and sustainable change in the lives of poor and marginalised people regardless of religion, political beliefs, gender, sexual orientation, race or nationality, in accordance with the highest international codes and standards.

The LWF/SM Central America Programme began its work in the region in 1983, and is currently being carried out in Honduras, Nicaragua, El Salvador and Guatemala through the Jotay Joint Programme. The Central America Programme works under the global strategy “So that they have hope and a future” in three strategic areas: Livelihoods Quality services Protection and social cohesion.

2. INTRODUCTION
This consultancy is seeking a natural person to provide professional services to contribute to the internal and external communication of the Central America Program and the operationalization of its strategy, and ways for proper management of corporate communication in the different areas and projects. The consultant will also be responsible for graphic design, editing, metrics and social networks.

3. CONSULTANCY OBJECTIVES
To provide professional services to create and edit content in the area of ​​LWF/SM communication, through the creation and development of visual designs using different tools and techniques to communicate key messages. The work will focus on the creation of graphic elements such as logos, illustrations, fonts, infographics, packaging, and other visual elements used in advertising, marketing, digital and print media as required by LWF/SM.

4. SCOPE OF THE CONSULTANCY
This consultancy will be carried out at the Regional Office of the LWF/SM Federation, located in San Salvador, through a part-time work modality in a face-to-face manner. Likewise, when required, the technical team of the Lutheran World Federation will have to accompany them on field visits to the different projects in progress for taking photographs.

5. RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE CONSULTANT a
. Creation and design of visual materials: Develop graphic designs for various purposes, such as logos, brochures, posters, banners, print and digital advertising, presentations, infographics, among others.
b. Development of creative concepts: Generate creative ideas and concepts that align with the objectives and messages of the Lutheran World Federation.
c. Image management and editing: Use graphic design software to retouch, edit and manipulate images, photographs and graphics.
d. Selection of typography and colors: Select and apply appropriate typography, colors and color palettes that conform to established design standards and that reinforce the identity of the Lutheran World Federation.
e. Management and administration of social networks.
f. Prepare and design electronic news monitoring bulletins (daily, weekly).
g. Generation of multimedia products and posts for social networks (infographics,
GIFs, short videos). Support in the multimedia coverage of the organization’s own events.
h. Support in writing articles, blogs and news for the web.
i. Updating the database/lists of social networks of counterparts, allies, donors, opinion leaders, journalists, media.
j. Updating the “Communication and Visibility – FLM-CA” guide.
k. Elaboration and updating of the media database.
l. Others that are designated by the Regional Program Coordinator.
m. Comply with the legal and fiscal requirements for the execution of the country’s consultancy.
n. Follow the code of conduct and policies of the Lutheran World Federation.
o. Use of the Shared Image and Brand manual with ACT Alliance.

6. RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE LUTHERAN WORLD FEDERATION
• To prepare and sign the consultancy contract.
• To guide, supervise and support all stages of this consultancy.
• To provide, in a timely manner, the information and documentation available for the implementation of this consultancy.
• To ensure ongoing dialogue with the regional programme coordinator and to facilitate contacts and access to all relevant information for the review.
• To participate in the review, supervise its quality and ensure compliance with deadlines.

7. CONSULTING LOGISTICS
The LWF/SM Regional Office in El Salvador will be the focal point for professional services: in the creation and editing of content in the LWF/SM communication area for the following activities:
a. Review and validate the creation and development of visual designs using different tools and techniques to communicate key messages. Focused on the creation of graphic elements such as logos, illustrations, fonts, infographics, packaging, and other visual elements used in advertising, marketing, digital and print media as required by LWF/SM.
b. Validate the tools to be used for content planning in the LWF/SM communication area.
c. According to the type of work, face-to-face and virtual meetings will be held.

8. DEPENDENCE AND SUPERVISION
The consultant will work under the direct supervision of the Regional Program Coordinator.

9. REQUIRED PROFILE
• Studying fifth year or equivalent in graphic design or related discipline.
• 2 years of experience in graphic design
• Mastery of graphic design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) or other similar tools.
• Excellent creative and visual skills, with the ability to generate original ideas and innovative solutions.
• Strong visual communication skills and the ability to effectively convey messages through design.
• Attention to detail and the ability to work accurately in creating designs.
• Ability to work autonomously and in a team, manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
• Portfolio demonstrating graphic design skills and experience.}

10. EVALUATOR SELECTION CRITERIA
Time management skills.
Experience in marketing and digital psychology
. Experience in developing illustrations and communication campaigns.
Curriculum vitae (70%)
Financial proposal (30%): With competitive prices. The financial offer must include all expenses related to the hiring of specialists related to the process, including any type of logistical, transportation, food, and similar expenses.

11. Conditions
Flexibility to move to areas where similar initiatives are being implemented.
Availability of time from Monday to Friday from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm.

12. Duration and Budget
The award of this consultancy will be subject to the analysis of the CV, portfolio in graphic design for a specific period from August 20, 2024 to January 20, 2025.

Note: The total cost of the consultancy includes: payment of fees, travel and expenses of the consultant(s), as well as the costs for carrying out the activities in the communications area.

13. Form and Payment Schedule
Payment for professional services will be monthly for $850.00 (USD), in which the rent discount will be made.
