Focus on the Africa 1 pole
The Africa 1 Pole is made up of 7 people. The mission of its members is to follow the Cameroon, Nigeria, Chad and Sudan missions.
And what about the Program Manager in all this?
As a Program Manager, you will ensure the development of project proposals, monitoring, control and overall coordination of Operations in compliance with the Association’s procedures for the area for which you will be responsible.
To this end, your responsibilities will be as follows:
- Operational Management: You will support missions and supervise operational and contractual management. You will contribute to project risk management. You will work in coordination with other headquarters departments.
- Strategy: You will actively participate and support the missions in the development and proper implementation of the operational intervention strategy.
- Capitalization: You will actively participate in the capitalization of procedures and tools within the Operations department.
- Geographic Pole: You will actively contribute to the running of the geographic pole (preparation and running of meetings).
- Management: You will recruit and provide support and training to an intern in contractual monitoring, project management and donor monitoring.
The challenges that await you:
– Support missions to prepare/consider the transition to post-emergency projects – Support missions in their development and in improving the quality of our interventions – Support missions in the development of project proposals
What You’ll Need to Succeed
- Training : You can demonstrate a higher degree (min. Master 2 or equivalent) in a field related to humanitarian action: project management, technical training related to one of our sectors of intervention.
- Experience : You have similar experience at the headquarters of an NGO or at least 3 years of field experience in an international NGO, in the management of projects funded by institutional donors. You have experience in capitalizing, creating and disseminating tools and procedures. Do you know the intervention areas? This will be highly appreciated. Have you already worked with Première Urgence Internationale? This will be an undeniable asset!
- Skills : Do you have excellent writing skills? This position is for you!
- Required qualities : You have analytical and reflective skills and consider yourself pragmatic. You demonstrate good interpersonal skills, ease of communication, both written and oral, and you have a taste for teamwork. You demonstrate leadership and decision-making skills, reliability and a sense of responsibility, rigor and organization, responsiveness and adaptability. You are diplomatic. You have excellent resistance to stress and an ability to work under pressure.
- Languages : Do you speak French and English fluently? This is essential for this position!

PUI will offer you
- Status frame
- Salary: 3000 EUR gross monthly over 12 months
- Medical coverage: 100% of the Health and Welfare mutual insurance
- Support: Support of up to 50% of the transport ticket and up to 60% of the Restaurant Tickets (with a face value of €10)
- Rest : 5 weeks of paid leave per year + 1 RTT per month (37 hours/week)
