1. Introduction
ActionAid is a global movement dedicated to advancing human rights, fighting injustice, and eradicating poverty. This Terms of Reference (ToR) outlines the requirements for recruiting an organization or company to manage and revamp the ActionAid website, ensuring it remains current, user-friendly, and reflective of our mission and activities.
2. Objectives
The primary objectives of this project are:
- To provide ongoing monthly updates and maintenance for the ActionAid website.
- To revamp the website to improve user experience, accessibility, and alignment with our brand and mission.
- To ensure the content is accurately uploaded, updated, and proofread to maintain a high standard of quality.
3. Scope of Work
A. Monthly Website Management
Content Updates:
- update news articles, blog posts, event information, and other dynamic content.
- Upload new multimedia content (photos, videos, infographics) to relevant sections of the website.
- Ensure timely publication of press releases and organizational announcements.
- Implement SEO best practices for all content updates to improve visibility.
Content Management:
- Review and proofread all content before uploading to ensure accuracy, coherence, and alignment with ActionAid’s voice and tone.
- Ensure all content is formatted correctly and consistently across the website.
- Manage user-generated content and comments, ensuring community guidelines are followed.
Content Review:
- Regularly review existing content to ensure it remains relevant and current.
- Archive outdated content in a timely manner.
B. Website Revamp
Content Strategy:
- Develop a content strategy that aligns with ActionAid’s mission and goals.
- Conduct a content audit to identify gaps and opportunities for new content.
- Work with ActionAid staff to create and curate engaging and relevant content.
User Experience (UX) Improvement:
- Redesign content layout to enhance readability and engagement.
- Ensure content is easily accessible and navigable for all users.
Brand Alignment:
- Ensure the website content is consistent with ActionAid’s branding guidelines.
- Incorporate feedback from key stakeholders to align the website with organizational goals.
Testing and Launch:
- Collaborate with ActionAid staff to test the revamped content before the website goes live.
- Provide training and documentation for ActionAid staff to manage new content features.
4. Deliverables
- Monthly reports detailing updates made and content performance.
- A revamped website that meets the specified criteria for UX, accessibility, and brand alignment.
- Documentation and training materials for ongoing content management by ActionAid staff.
