Community Partners International (CPI) is a U.S. nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering vulnerable communities in Asia to meet their essential health, humanitarian and development needs. Founded by U.S. doctors in 1998, the organization has grown to serve more than one million people each year. Community Partners International focuses on helping communities affected by conflict, violence, and displacement, in remote and hard-to-reach contexts, and marginalized by poverty and exclusion.

International CHW Symposium. CPI was selected, with our Thai University Partners Mahidol and Khon Kaen, to host the 2025 International CHW Symposium in Bangkok in November 2025. We are hiring a manager to lead this process.

Primary Responsibilities

• Manage and facilitate to committees advise the academic, political and logistical elements of the delivery of a major conference in Bangkok
• Lead coordination of partners to manage conference communications, registrations and abstract reviews
• Liaise with potential donors and create a non-loss making financial structure
• Manage multiple partner interests, and balance with political aims for the conference to focus on CHWs in conflict settings and those working for marginalized populations.
• Support CPI leadership to engage effectively with management of conference

Regular Responsibilities

• Chair and coordinate key deliverables of the conference (fundraising, logistical planning, academic panels, etc.)
• Manage timeline of project and ensure relevant work is completed according to the schedule prepared
• Assess providers for large-scale, major conference management and contract, along with the CPI financial team
• Build agenda collectively with internal and external stakeholders

Operations and Administration

• Ensure appropriate organizational policies and guidelines are followed
• Be part of the organization’s leadership team and contribute to the development and execution of strategic decisions

Organization Representation

• Maintain and strengthen relationships between CPI, universities and international partners
• Coordination and communication with staff of CPI, CBOs and academic partners
• Represent CPI at partner and donor meetings and events

ESSENTIAL SKILLS

• Passionate about Community Health Workers and the role they can play for communities in need
• At least 5 years working experience, in relevant areas
• Experience of working in a multicultural setting
• Excellent English Language especially in Speaking, Research Presentation and Academic Writing
• A burning passion for CPI’s mission, and a commitment to improve the health and well-being of people in Myanmar
• Ability to establish priorities in a time sensitive environment and meet deadlines with strong attention to consistency, detail, and quality
• Multilingual in local languages or other demonstrated ability to work across cultures or engage communities
• Thai language proficiency a major strength
