SOLIDARITES INTERNATIONAL (SI) is an international humanitarian aid association that, for over 40 years, has been providing assistance to populations affected by armed conflicts and natural disasters by meeting their vital needs: drinking, eating, and shelter. Particularly committed to combating diseases linked to unsafe water, the leading cause of death in the world, SI implements through its interventions expertise in the field of access to drinking water, sanitation and the promotion of hygiene, but also in the essential field of food security and livelihoods. Present in over twenty countries, SI teams – 2,000 people in total, made up of expatriates, national staff, permanent staff at headquarters, a few volunteers, etc. – intervene with professionalism and commitment while respecting cultures.
The mission
As part of the strengthening of its existing missions, SI has set up a flying support team (OSS Operation Support Staff).
OSS members are called upon to be mobilized on missions lasting from 3 weeks to 3 months, according to the following priorities:
- Coverage of strategic gaps and technical support for the development of existing missions (1 to 3 months)
- Support for diagnostics and opening of bases and programs in existing missions (2 weeks to 1.5 months)
- Diagnosis and opening of new missions (2 weeks to 1.5 months)
As headquarters delegates, they represent the latter during their deployments, and are in particular key players in carrying out the mandate and IT procedures in their assignment missions.
Operation and organization chart
OSS members respond to mission support needs via the SI geographic Desks. Their deployment is placed under the functional supervision of the Operations Director. When deployed, they work under the responsibility of the Country Director or the Desk concerned.
Description of the offer
The Finance – HR Coordinator will have to manage and coordinate the administrative, accounting and financial services of the mission.
As coordinator, he/she will be the guarantor of the financial balance of the mission and of compliance by all with Solidarités International procedures, donor procedures and the laws of the country in which Solidarités International operates.
He/she is the point of contact for the mission and the link between headquarters and the mission for any questions relating to management, accounting and budget monitoring.
Responsibilities and main activities of the position/The challenges of the position:
Under the supervision of the country director and in functional liaison with the management controller desk at headquarters, the Finance-HR Coordinator carries out the following tasks:
- Analysis of the socio-economic context
- Management of expatriate and national human resources
- Team management
- Financial, accounting and budgetary management
- Administrative management of the mission
- Cash management
- Reporting / Communication
The OSS Finance-HR Coordinator supervises the financial coordination team and the managers in charge of the administration and finances of the bases in the country.
Your profile
Education / Experience
- Diploma in financial management, human resources, Business School,
- Significant professional experience in the position of Finance-HR Coordinator (+ 1 year) with Solidarités International or another NGO
Technical skills and knowledge:
- SAGA and Homere software
- Team management skills
- Multicultural team building capacity
- Excellent command of Excel
LANGUAGES :
French and English required; Spanish would be a plus
SI will offer you the following conditions
- Expatriate fixed-term contract, executive status, maternity leave replacement
- Salary calculated on the basis of the expatriate salary scale (gross salary from 2600 euros/month)
- Paid leave of 5 weeks per year, recovery of one day per weekend spent in the field
- Health/life insurance and repatriation (100% covered)
- Free location (metropolitan France or abroad) outside deployment periods
