WVI is seeking a consultant to review the Smart Navigator Toolkit and IMPACT+ curriculum and design a full module on Safe Migration. To the extent feasible, adolescent representatives from across the Partnership will participate in ideation, co-creation, and review of materials.
- Conduct a comprehensive review of the Smart Navigator Toolkit and IMPACT+ Curriculum, to identify key components and methodologies that can be adapted for a safe migration focus.
- Develop a structured, plug-and-play module for safe migration, targeting both pre-migration adolescents and those affected by migration.
- Create educational content, activities, and support resources that follow the Toolkit’s framework but are adapted to the IMPACT+ methodology.
- Conduct pilot testing of the module with selected adolescent groups (IMPACT+ and non-IMPACT+) and gather feedback from facilitators and participants on the content’s relevance, clarity, and engagement.
- Suggest various supplemental materials to be developed (e.g., handouts, visual aids) to support module delivery.
- The consultant will be responsible for delivering the following:
- Full 6–8-week module for 12–18-year-old adolescents, including facilitator guides and materials that align to the IMPACT+ curriculum and includes:
- 6-8 club meeting sessions lasting 1.5-2 hours per session
- Adapted community service-learning project toolkit for participants to carry out and report back on.
- Consultations and review of module with adolescents and Field Office (FO) representatives.
- Summary report of input and feedback from adolescents and Field Office (FO) representatives.
- CONSULTANT QUALIFICATIONS
- Master’s Degree or higher in fields such as education, psychology, child development, or social work.
- Experience in child/adolescent-focused instructional design, curriculum design and development, experiential pedagogy, child participation, and/or strong background in adolescent teaching or facilitation/training.
- Excellent communication and facilitation skills to present complex concepts in an accessible manner and foster a positive learning environment.
- Innovative and flexible thinking
- Demonstrable knowledge of international migration issues within the cycle of migration, prevention programming (identifying risk factors and strengthening protective factors), especially within the East Asia and/or Latin American context
- Estimated Start Date – December 1, 2024; this work is estimated to take up 35 working days.
