SOLIDARITES INTERNATIONAL (SI) is an international humanitarian aid association that, for over 40 years, has been providing assistance to populations affected by armed conflicts and natural disasters by meeting their vital needs: drinking, eating, and shelter. Particularly committed to combating diseases linked to unsafe water, the world’s leading cause of death, SI implements through its interventions expertise in the field of access to drinking water, sanitation and the promotion of hygiene, but also in the essential field of food security and livelihoods. Present in 26 countries, SI’s teams – 3,200 people in total, made up of expatriates, national employees, permanent staff at headquarters, a few volunteers, etc. – intervene with professionalism and commitment while respecting cultures.
Within SOLIDARITÉS INTERNATIONAL, the Accountability and Partnership Development Department (RDP) plays a key role in funding management. The RDP is made up of 4 departments: the External Audit Department, the Grants Management and Implementation Partnerships Department, the Institutional Cooperation Department and the Private Partnerships Department. This offer specifically concerns the Private Partnerships Department.
Job Description
The assistant will carry out his/her duties under the authority of the Head of the Private Partnerships Department, within a team composed of the Head of Department, the Private Partnerships Officer and the assistant. He/she will actively contribute to the management and monitoring of private partnership relationships, as well as to the prospecting and development of new potential private partnerships in order to finance and develop the NGO’s projects.
His/her tasks will lead him/her to work in close collaboration with other departments (development and communication, programs, finance, operations). The tasks to be carried out are transversal and therefore require autonomy, rigor and versatility. Knowledge and/or the desire to deepen understanding of the humanitarian sector is essential. The tasks described in this announcement are likely to evolve depending on the work in progress at headquarters and as needed.
Main tasks:
1/ Support for partnership management:
Support for drafting framework documents (preparation of project sheets, reports, letters, etc.);
Support for monitoring partner data (updating partnership and prospecting monitoring tools (CRM), etc.).
Support for communication on partnerships on social and professional networks and support in organizing events and meetings with partners.
Support in writing pitches and proposals for grant applications and project presentations.
2/ Monitoring and Prospecting:
Maintain a watch on the news of private partners and calls for projects to be distributed internally.
Actively participate in the effort to prospect and contact potential private partners.
IF YOU WILL OFFER THE FOLLOWING CONDITIONS
- Internship based at the SOLIDARITÉS INTERNATIONAL headquarters in Clichy (92), Mairie de Clichy metro station.
- Intern with mandatory internship agreement.
- The interns’ compensation is set at €4.9 per hour.
- The gratuity is calculated in proportion to the actual hours of presence over the month (on average 1 month = 154 hours, or 22 days of 7 hours/day).
- Public transport covered 50% by SI.
- Meal vouchers at €8.90/day of actual training, with 60% contribution from SOLIDARITÉS INTERNATIONAL
- Teleworking possible
- Higher education (political science, humanitarian, international relations, business studies, communication, commerce);
- Autonomous and proactive with strong writing skills;
- Sensitivity to the mission and causes of SOLIDARITÉS INTERNATIONAL;
- Fluency in French and English;
- Previous experience (internship) in a company or association is a plus.
