Position Summary
Packaging is an essential component for home-based businesses (HBBs) to enhance their products’ market appeal, ensure protection, and convey brand identity. Effective packaging not only attracts customers but also builds trust and loyalty. This 4-day training program aims to equip HBB owners with the skills to design, create, and implement practical and sustainable packaging solutions tailored to their specific products and target markets.
Objective:
To provide participants with a comprehensive understanding of packaging principles, materials, branding techniques, cost optimization, and sustainability, empowering them to develop and execute innovative packaging solutions for their businesses.
Scope of Work:
The trainer will be responsible for:
- Developing the Training Agenda: Craft a detailed, interactive, and hands-on 4-day training program covering the outlined topics and sub-topics.
- Preparing Training Materials: Include presentations, case studies, activity guides, and templates tailored to HBB needs.
- Delivering the Training: Facilitate sessions that are practical, engaging, and participatory, with a focus on real-world applications.
- Providing Individualized Support: Assist participants in designing and prototyping packaging solutions for their products.
- Submitting a Pre/Post-Training Report: Document participant outcomes, challenges, feedback, and recommendations for follow-up.

Day 1: Introduction to Packaging and Branding Fundamentals

Required Qualifications and Experience:
- Proven expertise in packaging design, branding, or product development.
- Strong knowledge of sustainable and cost-effective packaging solutions.
- Experience in training delivery, especially for small business owners or entrepreneurs.
