- Who is PAH
Polish Humanitarian Action (PAH) is a non-governmental organization, registered in Poland, operating since 1992. PAH’s mission is to make the world a better place by alleviating human suffering and promoting humanitarian values. Our aim is to help the victims of humanitarian crises caused by armed conflicts and natural disasters. We help where help is most needed – we operate all over the world. We provide immediate humanitarian response to a crisis as well as work on long-term development solutions and preventing further catastrophes. We protect the civilian population. We give particularly close attention to the most vulnerable groups: women, children, the elderly, people with disabilities and the internally displaced persons.
PAH’s humanitarian and development aid operations are currently conducted in crisis-affected areas in Poland, Kenya, Somalia, South Sudan, Ukraine, Madagascar and Yemen. Our Emergency Response Team follows and responds to sudden humanitarian crises, most recently in Turkey and Morocco. PAH’s expertise is Water, Sanitation and Hygiene but we also implement aid projects in Shelter/NFI, FSL, Protection, Education, Health and other sectors. To ensure the highest quality of the support we provide, we adhere to the SPHERE standards.
