Founded in 1991, Secours Islamique France (SIF) is an international non-governmental organization (NGO) for emergency relief and development. SIF operates with strict neutrality, without distinction of origin, gender or religion, and is dedicated to alleviating the suffering of the world’s most deprived populations.
Under the supervision of the Child Education and Well-being Officer (EBEE), the EBEE/SE Officer contributes to improving the quality of actions related to EBEE and to ensuring the effective implementation of the SIF’s child safeguarding policy and procedures.
Your main missions will be the following (non-exhaustive and evolving list):
- Contribute to the updating of the general analysis of risks relating to child safeguarding (SE).
- Support the development, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of annual action plans (headquarters and missions).
- Provide technical support to ensure that SE measures are taken into account in SIF procedures and other institutional documents.
- Contribute to ensuring awareness-raising and training of SIF human resources (focal points, personnel in contact with children, etc.) on PSE.
- Provide advisory support to SE focal points on missions to ensure efficient implementation of measures at the local level.
- Support incident management, on missions and at headquarters, under the supervision of the Referent.
- Contribute to strengthening the EBEE component (including sponsorship) of the SIF humanitarian strategy and improving the quality of related interventions.
- Participate in the positioning of the SIF on issues related to EBEE.
- Participate in strengthening the quality of internal interventions.
Profile
- Required diploma: Bac+5 in Child Protection, Social Sciences and/or Social Work, Educational Sciences, Psychology, International Law (or equivalent).
- Minimum 3 years experience in a similar position.
- Knowledge of international standards in education, child protection, child safeguarding and/or protection from sexual exploitation and abuse.
- Proficiency in project management in the field of protection and/or education.
- Skills in monitoring, evaluation, accountability and learning.
- Fluency in written and spoken English.
- Ability to analyze and synthesize, sense of teamwork.
- Autonomy, rigor, ethics and sense of confidentiality.
TERMS :
- Permanent contract, full time (35 hours), available as soon as possible.
- Travel to the field to be expected (50%).
- Restaurant vouchers / Competitive health and welfare insurance / 75% reimbursement of public transport subscriptions (until 12/31/2024 according to current legislation).
- Possibility of teleworking according to agreement in force (2 days per week).
