SOLIDARITES INTERNATIONAL (SI) is an international humanitarian aid association that, for over 40 years, has been providing assistance to populations affected by armed conflicts and natural disasters by meeting their vital needs: drinking, eating, and shelter. Particularly committed to combating diseases linked to unsafe water, the leading cause of death in the world, SI implements through its interventions expertise in the field of access to drinking water, sanitation and the promotion of hygiene, but also in the essential field of food security and livelihoods. Present in around twenty countries, SI teams – 2,000 people in total, made up of expatriates, national staff, permanent staff at headquarters, a few volunteers, etc. – intervene with professionalism and commitment while respecting cultures.
Job Description
Within the Logistics Department of Solidarités International, the Systems and User Support Administrator (ASSU) is under the supervision of the Information Systems Manager.
ASSU installs, puts into production, administers and operates the IT resources at headquarters and in the field to support the teams on site.
He/She participates in the proper functioning of information systems by ensuring that the various tools and/or infrastructures of system software and/or communication infrastructures (local, extended, voice, image, centralized architecture, client-server, web) are maintained, with the aim of quality, productivity and security.
Main responsibilities
– Is responsible for the optimal functioning of the tools, systems or networks for which he/she is responsible.
– Implements tools ensuring data consistency.
– Has a global and up-to-date vision of information systems as well as a good knowledge of the organization.
– Monitors and analyzes performance, implements measures likely to improve the quality or productivity of the tool.
– Supports the field in these functions, in particular the logistics coordinators.
– Validates, in conjunction with his manager, the installation and integration of new tools (systems, or networks and telecoms) in the production environment.
– Handles incidents or anomalies based on internal requests: incident diagnosis, identification, formulation and monitoring of its resolution.
– Carries out corrective maintenance actions, ensuring their quality.
– Proposes improvements to optimize existing resources and their organization.
– Carries out the transfer of skills and technical assistance of procedures to field teams and participates in their training.
– Provides after-sales service for the IT equipment at headquarters and in the field as required.
– Manages access to IS resources (in general).
– Manages the developments and maintenance of hardware, software and the system.
– Manages performance (alert thresholds and tuning of domain resources and products).
– Participates in studies to recommend and implement suitable materials, tools and software.
– Produces documentation (framework, tutorials, best practices, etc.) for users and information systems teams at headquarters and in the field.
– Supports the field in recruiting information systems teams in the field.
– Participates in briefings for logistics coordinators and information systems teams in the field.
IF YOU WILL OFFER THE FOLLOWING CONDITIONS
- Position based at the headquarters of Solidarités International, in Clichy la Garenne (Mairie de Clichy metro station)
- Permanent contract, Executive status
- Gross monthly salary of: €2,865 or €2,985 (2 levels) depending on the scale in force at the head office
- Possibility of teleworking: 12 days per month, in accordance with the Teleworking Charter in force and the manager.
- Leave: 2.0833 CP/month and 1 day of RTT/full month of work
- Mutual insurance (80%), meal vouchers (60%), transport tickets (50%) covered by the association
- Training in IT (ideally bac +2 but variable depending on experience)
- Professional experience related to the position of at least 1 year
- Ability to communicate with users orally and in writing
- Fluent professional English
- Ability to work in a team and remotely (interlocutors abroad)
- Autonomy
- Problem-solving skills
Technical skills:
- Fluent in French and English (very good level of reading, writing and speaking)
- User support (information system)
- Administration using Microsoft 365
- Cybersecurity knowledge
- Maintenance and management of IT equipment
- Network infrastructures
- Microsoft Server Knowledge
- Knowledge of Linux servers and DevOps principles would be an asset
