Here’s where you come in:

As the National Director, you will strategically lead, develop and direct the implementation of World Vision Niger Strategy, in alignment with the Government of Niger priorities and World Vision’s global strategy, Our Promise. In performing this role, you will be an effective leader locally, an effective member of the broader World Vision International Partnership, and will model the organisation’s principles of Twin Citizenship to ensure high ministry quality and overall organizational effectiveness. You will contribute to partnership life and unity, by acting as both a local and global representative of the organisation. You will ensure the country’s operations and operating models maintain the Partnership’s focus on Child Well-Being outcomes and aspirations as they apply in the Nigerian specific country context, maximising the impact in the field while maintaining efficiency as wise stewards of entrusted resources.

Requirements include:

  • Master’s degree in development studies, international development, management, administration or social sciences or equivalent with at least 10 years’ experience in country level program management.
  • A minimum 10-12 years’ experience in managing effective and efficient operations of a country office or organisation, demonstrating sound, people, program, financial management skills and knowledge. (e.g., organisations with over 200 staff and an annual total budget of over $ 30 million)
  • At least 10 years’ experience overseeing and/ or managing a large government grant, its acquisition and donor engagement in fragile context with a humanitarian response.
  • Proven track record of leading multi-cultural teams in complex, culturally and politically-sensitive contexts and/or multi-sectoral emergency response projects.
  • Fluent in French and English: speaking and writing
  • Domestic Travel: 25% Regular internal travel to project areas is required.
  • International Travel: 15% international travel will be required
