About: Action Against Hunger
Founded in 1979, Action Against Hunger is an international non-governmental organization that fights against hunger worldwide. Its charter of humanitarian principles – independence, neutrality, non-discrimination, free and direct access to victims, professionalism, transparency – has been the basis of its identity for 45 years. Its mission is to save lives by eliminating hunger through the prevention, detection and treatment of undernutrition, particularly during and after emergencies related to conflicts and natural disasters. Action Against Hunger coordinates its programs around 7 areas of activity: Nutrition and Health – Mental Health, Psychosocial Support – Food Security and Livelihoods – Water, Sanitation and Hygiene – Advocacy – Climate – Research. Mission :
Under the supervision of the Deputy Country Director – Programs, you will be responsible for ensuring the technical and regional coherence as well as the learning of the PASCO project interventions, in conjunction with the ACF Country Offices and the regional office.
In this context, your missions will be to:
Ensure monitoring and contextual analysis on the themes of the project
Contribute to the strategic orientations and the coherence of the approaches; and monitor their implementation in the countries
Contribute to guaranteeing the quality and accountability of the program (towards the populations and donors)
Ensure, in its regional and cross-border dimension, the establishment and animation of a framework for learning and sharing within the project
Contribute to advocacy and coordination with other actors
When you take up your position, the priorities will be the understanding and analysis of the themes relating to pastoral production systems, economic dynamics and societies living in the Lake Chad Basin (LCB).

Profile :
You hold a higher education degree (Bac + 5) in political science, international relations, international development, humanitarian project management or a related field.
You have at least 3 years of experience in a similar position within a humanitarian or development organization.
You have an excellent knowledge of the humanitarian project management cycle.
Working in an international environment, you are fluent in English, both orally and in writing.
Conditions of employment
Fixed-term contract under French law: 12 months until 01/14/2026
Gross monthly salary: from 2597 to 2968 euros depending on experience, including 13th month
Retirement insurance reimbursement for non-French citizens: 16% of gross monthly salary
Increase in basic salary: 6% every 12 months of continuous contract
Per diem and monthly living expenses: 767 euros net, paid in the field
Monthly context allowance: 150 euros
Child allowance: 1500 euros per year and per child present in the country of origin (ceiling of 6000 euros/year)
Transportation and accommodation: Coverage of travel and collective accommodation
Medical coverage: 100% coverage of health contributions (CFE + supplementary health insurance) and repatriation insurance
Salary maintenance arrangements (sickness, maternity, paternity)
Leave and RnR: 25 days per year CP and 20 RnR per year; cover for the ticket with ceiling to go to the chosen break zone, and 215 euros of fixed allowance per RnR

Unlimited and free access to the Talentsoft e-learning platform
Field trips: one-off missions in the PASCO project intervention areas (Chad, Cameroon and Nigeria)
