Action Education is an association for development through education, which has been providing for 40 years
years, access to quality education for the most vulnerable and marginalized populations, particularly children, girls and women.
Basing its intervention on the values of dignity, inclusion and integrity, on principles of action of transparency, accountability and solidarity, and thanks to the support of its sponsors and donors, it now leads 80 projects in 16 countries in Africa, Asia and Europe – notably in France – for nearly 1.5 million children, young people and adults.
In 2025, Action Education’s budget is €24 million. We employ around 600 people, including 550 directly in our countries of intervention.
In Europe, Action Education works in particular with the most marginalized and excluded populations. The association is particularly involved in schooling, keeping children and young people in precarious housing (squats, shanty towns, etc.) in school and strengthening their power to act, and supports education professionals to improve the reception of families and the quality of educational facilities.
In recent years, the organization has undergone major structural changes, both in the management of its operations and in its governance. The foundations of this important transformation are now laid, and its practical implementation is launched via a breakdown of its strategy for the period 2025 – 2029.
It is in this context rich in perspectives and dynamism that Action Education is recruiting its new Intern in charge of supporting France-Europe projects for a period of 4 months.
