COSPE, an organization committed for over 40 years to international cooperation, social justice, and migrations, promoting diversity and equity in its work environments and ensuring equal access to professional opportunities for women, racialized people, members of the LGBTQ+ community, and other underrepresented groups, is seeking a Project Coordinator in Albania for its office in Egypt.

Role Description

The selected person will ensure the proper management of the project “Proud to have Rights: Promoting equality, social inclusion, and non-discrimination of WOMEN and LGBTIQ+ people in Albania” (Europe Aid/177069/DD/ACT/AL) in compliance with the internal procedures of the organizations, the donor’s guidelines, and will guarantee constant coordination with the other team members and project partners. In particular, they must maintain constant communication with the COSPE Country Representative, the COSPE Balkan Area Manager, and all representatives of the project partners.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Coordinate regular meetings with project partners, particularly those in the Western Balkans Area (WB Area).
  • Promote the involvement of civil society in the activities of existing projects in the WB Area.
  • Facilitate the organization of project activities, in the territories of the Area.
  • Support the organization of training to be carried out in the WB Area.
  • Support the organization of Forums and Campaigns.
  • Organize field visits related to activities conducted by other project partners in the Area.
  • Prepare periodic reports regarding the progress of field visits, activities, and expected results.
  • Maintain permanent coordination with the project manager, the financial officer, and the project communication manager.
  • Participate in periodic project team meetings.
  • Participate in bi-weekly meetings with the project manager and handle logistics for meetings and accommodations in the WB Area.
  • Manage expenses in the Area related to activities under their responsibility.
  • Record expenses and coordinate with the accountant and the Financial Officer.

Mandatory Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in International Cooperation, Social Sciences, Economics, or related fields.
  • At least 5 years of relevant professional experience in international project management.
  • Proven experience in financial/accounting management of international projects on gender rights, anti-discrimination policies, and gender advocacy.
  • Experience in participatory processes in EU-funded projects/programs within the last 3 years.
  • Fluency in Albanian, English and Italian, written and spoken.

Additional Required Skills

  • Ability to operate effectively in an international environment with complex administrative procedures, including those of the European Union.
  • Competence in proposing and implementing innovative solutions for inclusive management, advocacy, and compliance with local and international regulations.
  • Proficiency in IT tools, including MS Office (Excel, Access, PowerPoint), and online project management resources.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with a creative and problem-solving approach.
  • Proven ability to work in multicultural teams, even under pressure, to achieve project goals.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and personal responsibility in completing tasks.
