Security Manager International (m/f/d)

You will work in the International Programs and Cooperation (IPZ) department and will oversee our international security management. You will work closely with other specialist departments, country offices and partner organizations.

YOUR TASKS

• Conceptual responsibility for the further development of humedica’s international security architecture
• Advising management, project and regional managers, country offices and partner organizations on security issues
• Monitoring of relevant security situations with local security officers
• Accompanying and guiding security management during disaster operations
• Managing security incidents and high-risk project areas to support and accompany project management
• Conceptualizing and conducting briefings and training on travel and security
• Development and implementation of internal audits to ensure compliance with safety standards
• networking with security actors and networks

You are prepared to travel to crisis or disaster areas, are flexible and have a creative spirit. You are physically and mentally resilient, have a quick grasp of things and the ability to combine things. You are used to dealing with difficult tasks under pressure. You must also be able to make well-considered decisions in stressful and time-critical situations. You are also characterized by a high degree of organizational talent, the ability to work in a team and conceptual thinking.

You use your management skills in a targeted and effective manner.

• Strong identification with humedica’s values, mission and Christian self-image.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree
• At least 5 years of relevant professional experience in security management of global projects
• Good knowledge of NPO specific security networks and standards
• At least 3 years of professional experience in a similarly responsible position in humanitarian projects
• At least 1 year of professional experience abroad and intercultural competence
• Very good knowledge of German, knowledge of English C1 and basic knowledge of at least one other foreign language (preferably French and/or Spanish)
• Class 3 driving license
