JOB TITLE: Financial Assistant
POSITION OBJECTIVE: Maintain records of accounting operations in a systematic and timely manner, ensuring the application of accounting principles and legal and tax regulations, as well as the reliability of the financial information of the Diakonie Office in Bogotá.
REPORTS TO: Accountant
LOCATION FOR PROVISION OF THE SERVICE: Bogotá – Cundinamarca.
TRAVEL REQUIREMENT: Not applicable.
CONTRACT TYPE: Permanent employment contract. Full time.
MODALITY: Supplementary Teleworking – With face-to-face meetings.
SALARY: $3,500,000 Plus legal benefits.
BENEFITS: You will have 30 days of vacation.

DESCRIPTION OF MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Accounting Support:
- Check the consecutive accounting numbers with the SIIGO listings
- Creation of third parties in SIIGO
- Manage electronic payments to suppliers and employees (payroll and advances).
- Register the accounting supports of the Regional Office
- Reconcile accounts receivable and payable between projects.
- Perform monthly bank and credit card reconciliations
- Accounting for order accounts – fixed assets
- Make and send the Withholding at Source certificates
- Create the formats and annexes of the exogenous information
- Provide the information required by the accountant (balance sheets, project balance sheets) to prepare financial reports
- Support the preparation of all documentation required for the development of Audits and requirements of the Superintendency of Companies
Human management tasks:
- Prepare and settle the payroll monthly according to the new developments report and guarantee the upload to the virtual portal monthly for payment
- Liquidates and generates a unified payment sheet corresponding to the Social Security of employees and guarantees the upload to the virtual portal monthly for payment.
- Make payroll updates for My Payroll and issue it to the DIAN
- Distribution of payroll, security and social benefits by project in accordance with the approved budgets.
- Make and send the Income and Withholding certificates of the staff
- Perform staff vacation update by project
File Support
- Keep the digital and physical file with the accounting records of each project with its respective seal.
- Print and file lists of accounting and consecutive transactions by type of document, which are attached to the folder with financial documents for the projects.
- Maintain up-to-date bank ledger and accounting control over income and expenses
- Make AZ marking according to internal guidelines
WANTED PROFILE
Minimum required experience and skills:
- Minimum of three (3) years experience in similar positions
- Minimum experience of one (1) year in NGOs
- Mastery of SIIGO accounting software.
- Extensive knowledge of IFRS standards.
- Knowledge and experience in audit processes.
- Optimal handling of system utility packages: Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
