About SYCAC
SYCAC is a non-profit, non-governmental civil society organization established in Turkey in 2012. It aims to increase civic spaces to play an active role in peace processes and early recovery of communities by empowering, protecting, and building community capacities, as well as enhancing the leadership role of women and marginalized groups, to achieve communities that embrace the principle of democracy and human rights.
Job purpose
SYCAC is seeking for a reliable Field M&E Officer, who will be responsible for ensuring the quality of project activity data and indicators (both quantitative and qualitative), ensuring the implementation of complaints and response mechanisms, and executing the beneficiary satisfaction measurement mechanism while ensuring adherence to the highest ethical standards, and ensuring the archiving of all data according to the procedures in place at SYCAC.
Additionally, the officer will be responsible for any other tasks within their scope of work.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in developing the Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning (MEAL) plan for the project based on the specified logical framework.
Collect data on project activity indicators (both quantitative and qualitative) and performance measurement indicators while ensuring data quality and adherence to the timeline.
Conduct regular field visits to the project areas to assess progress against the project plan.
Implement feedback, complaints, and response mechanisms (CRM) in line with established standards in this field.
Ensure beneficiary complaints and feedback are documented, analyze and provide recommendations on them, actively participate in addressing them, and follow up on verification and complaint resolution processes.
Ensure the archiving of all data, documents, and reports related to the project in accordance with SYCAC’s procedures.
Prepare weekly and monthly project reports, ensuring continuous and high-quality data flow.
Ensure that all beneficiaries and stakeholders are fully aware of the complaints and suggestions mechanisms, in addition to their prior knowledge of the monitoring and evaluation procedures during activity implementation.
Work on beneficiary satisfaction assessments, case studies, success stories, and lessons learned.
Conduct pre- and post-evaluations for all project activities.
Ensure the highest ethical standards are applied to support accountability to beneficiaries, community representatives, and other stakeholders.
Strictly adhere to the Code of Conduct, Child Protection Policy, and the Prevention of Sexual Exploitation and Harassment.
Perform any other related tasks in coordination with the direct supervisor.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
- Proven work experience of at least two years with non-profit organizations.
- Strong team collaboration skills, demonstrating effectiveness and positivity.
- Excellent planning and organizational skills, with the ability to meet deadlines.
- Broad understanding of the work environment and the ability to communicate with various stakeholders.
- Excellent report-writing skills.
- Good analytical skills and proficiency in computer use, including MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint).
- Advanced level in Arabic writing and speaking skills, and B2 or higher level in English.
