Focus on our activities in CAMEROON
Our mission in Cameroon has existed since 2008. PUI is developing its integrated approach with the sectors of food security and access to drinking water, hygiene and sanitation. In addition, PUI is working on the Rapid Response Mechanism to deal with the influx of refugees. Today, the mission consists of 3 projects.
And what about the Grants Manager in all this?
As Grants Manager, you will provide essential support in the development of concept notes, proposals, reports and other program-related documents. You will be the mission’s focal point for all matters relating to contracts, compliance and donor guidelines and will report regularly to the Program Officer or Grants and Donor Monitoring Officer at headquarters.
To this end, your responsibilities will be as follows:
- Grants Management: You will ensure the proper understanding, archiving, monitoring, internal communication concerning grants signed by the missions, as well as contracts and their amendments in close collaboration with the program teams and headquarters. You will also assist the Deputy Head of Mission for Programs and the Field Coordinators in monitoring program activities and contract implementation. Finally, you will support the Technical Coordinators and the operational teams of the bases in monitoring, collecting and compiling information relating to the operational progress of the program.
- Reporting Management: You will ensure the qualitative and timely production of all communication materials, internal and external reports, concept notes and the proposal file, including annexes. You will support the MEAL unit in the collection and analysis of project data, in order to ensure the production of comprehensive documents and reports for internal (PMT or GFU) and external (ITT, reports, etc.) dissemination. Furthermore, you will develop and update the SOPs for program development and reporting in coordination with the Deputy Head of Mission for Programs and the relevant Technical Coordinators.
- Donor and Fundraising Strategy: You will coordinate and act as a focal point for the design and implementation of a donor and fundraising strategy, including monitoring and updating the mapping of existing and potential local partners, donors and consortium opportunities.
- Communication: You will coordinate and act as a focal point for the design and implementation of a communication strategy, including the definition of targets and expected results, but also for the development of quality communication channels and supports, internal communication with headquarters and external communication (interview requests, visibility products, etc.).
- Capacity Building: You will supervise and aim to strengthen the Grants Officer’s analytical reporting capabilities.

What You’ll Need to Succeed
- Formation
You can demonstrate a Master’s degree in project management, political science, international development, humanitarian studies, public administration, social sciences or other relevant fields, or equivalent professional experience.
- Experience
You have at least two years of experience in a similar position and/or in the areas of program development, project management, donor reporting and grant compliance for an international NGO. You have experience in creating communication materials (articles, success stories, etc.). Previous professional experience in conflict zones or unstable security contexts will be valued, as will previous professional experience and/or knowledge of donor compliance requirements (ECHO, BHA, SIDA, GAC, WFP). Have you worked with Première Urgence Internationale before? This will be a definite asset!
- SKILLS
You have excellent writing skills, are rigorous, and have strong planning and anticipation skills. In addition to the Office Pack, you are proficient in database management software, as well as statistical software packages.
- Required qualities
You have a proven ability to analyze and synthesize comprehensive information and technical data, and to write and review reports under deadline pressure. You also have the ability to ensure efficient and timely results. You have the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a diverse team and managing a varied workload. Finally, you have a good ability to manage conflicting priorities in your personal workload.
- LANGUAGES
Do you speak French and English like the back of your hand? Great, it’s essential for this position! If you also speak Arabic, that would be a definite asset.

PUI will offer you
- **Status:**Fixed-term contract employee
- Gross monthly salary: 2,190.00 – 2,420.00 EUR depending on your experience in international solidarity + 50€ per semester of seniority with PUI

- **Break scheme:**5 working days at 3 and 9 months of mission + break bonus
