In the Digital Technology area (Infrastructure & CyberSecurity), the Cloud and Data Center Specialist is responsible for the governance of the infrastructural services indicated below with a focus on the management of server and DB systems, on the integration of systems both internally to the Organization and with external systems, on the execution of other activities in the area to contribute to the achievement of the overall objectives.
MAIN ACTIVITIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
- Contribute to the management and innovation of the IT infrastructure of Save the Children Italy.
- Manage system administration activities of operating systems, virtualization platforms and Ms Sql Server databases, both virtual and physical, in the Data Center and in the MS Azure Cloud.
- Manage version updates, patching, optimization of Cloud costs and related accounts and administrative rights, also leveraging contracts with external suppliers
- Manage the 2nd level of Help Desk escalation related to the IT infrastructure (e.g.: mail account and Office365 profile administration, CRM Application accounts, etc.)
- Support specific environment integration, documentation and environment configuration:
- ERP Agresso
- CRM MS Dynamics
- Desk Booking Apps
Complement to the management of:
- domini MS Active Directory
- Network infrastructure DNS, Firewall, VPN;
- Backup systems, IT infrastructure control
- Update technical documentation
- Support the definition of the Service Catalogue and infrastructure monitoring.
- Collaborate with the various organizational areas and other functions of the Innovation, Digital Technology & Data area
SPECIFIC TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE
- At least 4-5 years of experience in 1st and 2nd level IT support, with a strong problem solving orientation towards users and system troubleshooting;
Specific skills in:
- Microsoft Windows Server: Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Monitoring and Tuning, Shared Folder, GPO; Client support, Remote support.
- In-depth knowledge of MS Azure based Cloud platforms
- Experience in managing Virtual Infrastructures, including Servers, Networks, Databases and Storage Systems
- Knowledge of cloud security best practices, including encryption, firewall, and identity management (IAM) mechanisms
- Development and implementation of Disaster Recovery and Backup procedures to protect the organization’s data
- SQL Server, SQL language fundamentals, basic DBMS administration.
- Competenze generali di Routing, Switching, VPN, Security, Accounting, Sharing, Permissions, Backup.
- Mastery of written and spoken English (level B2), at least at a technical IT level, is preferred.
- Certification in ITIL Framework v3 or 4 preferred.
SOFT SKILLS
- Ability to analyze the Organization’s infrastructure needs, even implicit ones, to structure and document services, reducing risks and preventing critical issues.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, effective with both external suppliers and internal teams at all organizational levels.
- Ability to continuously improve infrastructures and consolidate services, ensuring defined service levels shared with the different areas of the Organization.
- Planning and time management to ensure critical deadlines are met, with particular attention to infrastructure migration and upgrade phases
- Skills in Project Management and management of external resources and suppliers.
