Job Summary:

Under the overall guidance and supervision of the Program Director, the Wash and Infrastructure officer (Cover) is responsible for planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of WASH and emergency related projects ensuring compliance with global, national and FH standards. This role also focuses on promoting community participation and ownership by facilitating effective liaison, coordination, and communication among FH program staff, communities, and other stakeholders, ensuring sustainable project outcomes.

Responsibilities and duties:

  • Key Result #1: Technical Support and Facilitation
  • Key Result #2 Planning, Reporting and Accountability
  • Key Result #3 Coordination and networking
  • Key Result #4: Staff Development

Experience

  • 3-4 years relevant work experiences in WASH activities at community, health institutions and schools both for emergency and development settings. Experience in emergency related projects
  • Appropriate technical skills training and computer software; practical knowledge of AutoCAD is a must.

Education/Certifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in water supply /sanitary engineering, Hydrology and civil engineering from a recognized university.
  • Post graduate qualification in project management, management, development studies or M&E is an added advantage

  • Demonstrated computer -operating skills, including proficiency in Google platforms, Microsoft Office products, and virtual technologies such as Skype, google meet and/ or Zoom.

  • To encourage full participation of the partners and beneficiaries, to have power sharing and empowerment for them in the program activities.
  • To have the spirit of learning, moving forward and inculcating excellence within the team
  • Ability to communicate clearly and demonstration of good interpersonal skills
  • Should be an active member of a church and must be willing to live in a spiritual community.
  • Ability to work in field conditions.
  • Must have team building skills, personnel management skills and child supervision skills.

    Language

    Proficiency in spoken and written English.
