GIA-CCBO Program Coordinator – Clean Cities, Blue Ocean (CCBO) At Tetra Tech

Position Description/Summary:

The CCBO activity is a five-year initiative of USAID which will serve as USAID’s flagship program to target ocean plastics directly at their source in cities and towns. The project works to prevent ocean plastic pollution by building capacity and commitment for Reducing, Reusing, and Recycling (3Rs) and solid waste management (SWM) in urban and peri-urban settings, particularly in riverine and coastal areas. CCBO works with multiple USAID missions on country-specific implementation of national and local activities, and with USAID/Washington on global-level activities.

Following USAID Bilateral Development Cooperation Framework (BDCF) No. 497-040 and the Grant Implementation Agreement (GIA) between the USAID Environment Office and the Ministry of National Development Planning/National Development Planning Agency (Bappenas) on the implementation of Intermediate Results (IRs) 3.2 Urban Environmental Management Strengthened, USAID/Indonesia and the Ministry agree to implement the USAID Urban Water, Sanitation, Solid Waste and Hygiene (UWASSH) Program. Under the GIA, an “UWASSH Secretariat” will be established to support the works of the coordination of the activities under the agreement with GOI relevant counterparts

The GIA-CCBO Program Coordinator will be based mainly in the National Secretariat of Pokja AMPL and the USAID CCBO Office in Jakarta. The GIA-CCBO Program Coordinator will support the UWASSH Secretariat established under the GIA between USAID Environment Office and Bappenas.

Responsibilities:

*Support coordination and engagement with ministries/agencies and sub-national governments in the implementation of the UWASSH-Solid Waste Management Program.

*Collect progress reports on the implementation of the USAID CCBO Program from USAID and then consolidate the progress reports for review by the Executing Agency and Implementing Agencies.

*Collect USAID CCBO BAST reports from Implementing Agencies including the Grantee Contribution.

*Organize and host Technical Team meetings and provide related secretariat services; and

*Coordinate with Technical Teams to ensure the support is delivered in an effective, efficient, and accountable manner

He/she will report daily to the Point of Contact (POC) of Bappenas, USAID Indonesia, and the USAID CCBO Indonesia Country Director who will serve as Organizational Supervisor and provide any needed support regarding personnel-related matters. All these individuals will contribute to regular, formal Employee Performance Appraisals which will be conducted on at least an annual basis.

Qualifications:

* Minimum of 5 years’ experience in working with the Indonesian both at the local and national levels in international development, environment, program management, and other related fields.

*Knowledge of the Government of Indonesia system is a must.

*Education: A four-year University degree is required from any relevant fields such as public administration, business management, social science, economics, environment, etc.

*Strong writing and oral communication skills in both Bahasa Indonesia and the English languages.

*Comfortable being self-directed and working independently as well as working as part of a team.
