Mission Description

General objective

Reporting to the Head of Corporate Engagement, the Corporate Partnerships Manager aims to raise funds and develop relationships with the private sector (companies, corporate and family foundations, family offices, endowment funds, etc.). To do this, he/she proposes and implements partnerships that meet the needs, values, and objectives of the association while being attractive to companies.

As part of an ambitious 2030 fundraising strategy, 50% of the position will be dedicated to prospecting in order to renew and expand the portfolio, to ensure that the collection objectives set for the team are achieved.

Your main missions:

Contribute to the definition and implementation of the fundraising strategy from the private sector:

In collaboration with the department manager:

  • Propose initiatives and recommendations to ensure the achievement of the department’s objectives.
  • Participate in defining the department’s internal forecast budget.
  • Define and implement offers for partners and prospects: patronage, sponsorship, CSR, Inclusive Business, in collaboration with other CARE departments.
  • Define the means to be implemented to facilitate the approach and cultivate the relationship with partner or prospect companies.
  • Be a driving force for developing prospecting and fundraising from the private sector.
  • Contribute to the establishment of tools for monitoring the implementation/application of the fundraising strategy.

Develop existing partnerships and build partner loyalty

  • Act as an interface between partners and CARE France teams for any action or request involving a partner.
  • Cultivate a quality relationship with partners with the aim of retaining them and developing the relationship.
  • Ensure the contractualization and then the operational monitoring of conventions and agreements.
  • Develop the contribution of each partner.
  • Ensure monitoring of each company in order to: better understand its CSR and Business issues and be able to anticipate the risks of a media crisis and trigger internal alert mechanisms.

Prospecting companies, corporate foundations, endowment funds, family offices.

  • In conjunction with the members of the Partnerships team, analyze the market, target relevant companies and sectors of activity, qualify companies/foundations as relevant and priority companies to prospect.
  • Identify and meet decision-making contacts (prospect directly or in response to calls for tender).
    • Contribute to the Due Diligence for each partnership relationship entered into with a prospected company, in compliance with CARE’s commitments and ethical principles in terms of partnership with the private sector and define the conditions.
    • Promote the vision of CARE France business partnerships and its methodology to decision-makers in CSR, Sustainable Development and even Communication functions of companies and foundations.

Monitoring, surveillance and capitalization

  • Ensure monitoring activity on the subjects of patronage, CSR, Social Business, strategic partnerships as well as on the best practices of other NGOs and share it with the entire team.
  • Raise awareness among companies and foundations in their patronage actions, mobilization of employees and stakeholders, CSR and Inclusive Business and help them move towards strategic partnerships whose effects can be transformative.
  • Contribute to updating the various communication tools and media.
  • Enter donations into the database and update the CRM as a strategy management tool.

Contribute to CARE France and CARE International projects in a cross-functional manner

  • Lead and contribute to certain cross-functional projects of the partnerships team.
  • Working in cross-functional teams within the CARE International network.

Profile sought

Training and Experience:

  • Minimum BAC+3 training, such as Management School, IEP, Sustainable Development and CSR, etc.
  • Professional experience of at least 5 years in equivalent positions in an association or company.
  • Dual experience in the private and non-profit sectors is a real plus.

Required skills:

  • Strong commercial sense for prospecting and development, mastery of negotiation techniques,
  • Good knowledge of corporate sponsorship and CSR,
  • Ability to manage a portfolio with multiple accounts and adaptability to humanitarian emergency management (prospecting and emergency response management),
  • Knowledge of the NGO environment, particularly humanitarian or development, is a plus,
  • A sensitivity to social business and inclusive business is a plus,
  • Proficiency in office tools: Word, Powerpoint, Excel, CRM/database,
  • Perfect command of French and English (written and oral),

Conditions and terms of application

Contract: Permanent

Status: Executive

Working hours: 212 days per year (fixed days)

Desired start date: As soon as possible (please indicate your availability)

Salary: between €43,709 and €45,530 gross per year depending on profile and CARE’s salary scale.

Benefits: mutual insurance 100% covered by CARE France; meal vouchers with a face value of €9, of which €5 is covered by CARE France; 75% reimbursement of public transport network subscriptions or sustainable mobility package; possibility of partial teleworking from the 3rd week of the contract (package of 40 or 80 days of teleworking in the first year; 120 days from one year of seniority).

Workplace : CARE France headquarters, Pantin (93500) – RER E Pantin or Hoche metro.

  • Regular travel to be expected in Paris and the Paris region, more rarely in the provinces or in Europe,
  • Possibly one or two trips abroad on a project visit as part of a partner visit,
  • Possible meetings or events at the end of the day, in the evening or exceptionally at the weekend,
