Working alongside disabled and vulnerable people, it acts and bears witness to meet their essential needs and improve their living conditions. Since its creation in 1982, HI has implemented development programs in more than 60 countries and intervenes in numerous emergency situations. Today, we have a budget of approximately 255 million euros, with 4,794 employees worldwide.

YOUR VOLUNTEER MISSION:

You contribute to the well-being of our staff by providing psychological support for employees, volunteers, and interns from our staff in Lyon and Paris:

Actions collectives

  • Animation of collective sessions already identified:
  • “Caregivers’ Café” (every 2 months). This group is made up, on a voluntary basis, of employees who are in a family caregiver position. Its purpose is to be a friendly and caring space, where everyone can share their experiences and practices, ask questions, or simply listen. This group is led by a Social Worker. The volunteer psychologist will be responsible for supporting this group, facilitating discussions and listening, and supporting the expression of emotions.
  • Any team that has expressed a particular need for collective support
  • On request, following exceptional events (e.g. announcement of a serious illness or death of a colleague), facilitation of a collective session of the team concerned to offer in particular psychoeducation and tools to best manage the situation.

Other activities:

  • Provide numerical trends and non-confidential qualitative information to contribute to the improvement of well-being policy and personnel management.
  • Contribute to briefing interviews* for people from headquarters who would be making visits in difficult contexts.
  • To be seen depending on the wishes, availability and needs of the service

*****Interviews aim to prepare employees for departure and to offer them a space for reflective feedback and emotional analysis.

PROFILE :

  • In possession of a Master 2 in Psychology and having experience in clinical interviews with adults in the workplace (ideally on the themes of preventing burnout/work-related stress/etc.) and ideally in group facilitation.
  • Agreement with the values ​​and missions of Handicap International
  • Sensitivity to the international solidarity sector, or even experience.
  • Fluency in French (if possible English, any other language would be an asset).

CONDITIONS :

  • Start date: as soon as possible
  • Time to allocate: depending on your availability
  • Duration of the mission: 6 months and more if possible

ACCESSIBILITY OF THE WORKPLACE:

The premises are easily accessible by public transport (bus, metro). A car park and a bicycle park are also available. Within the building, access ramps and elevators guarantee better circulation. All workstations are located in Open Space but boxes are available on each floor to work in peace if necessary. The workspace is very bright.

A disability representative is available to answer any questions and assist you with your procedures. The position can be adapted to suit your needs.
