JOB SUMMARY
The Nutrition Coordinator coordinates the Nutrition Activities of the Nutrition program through the project.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Work closely with the Health and Nutrition Program coordinator and represent the MedGlobal in nutrition cluster meetings as needed.
- Coordinate with nutritionist and MedGlobal offices in Syria, ensuring smooth operations across locations.
- Gather and organize statistical information for project analysis and reporting.
- Ensure that project activities are carried out according to the plans set by the line manager and in a timely manner.
- Maintain daily follow-up on project activities with field staff.
- Create and implement detailed nutrition activity work plans based on the program’s monthlyl plan.
- Ensure seamless coordination of nutrition activities with other program activities.
- Collaborate with the Monitoring and Evaluation officers to prepare monthly nutrition reports and quarterly analysis on trends and quality improvement.
- Work with the Monitoring and Evaluation team to review nutrition indicators and reporting tools.
- Coordinate with the Logistics team to improve the management and accountability of nutrition supplies.
- Contribute to the development of nutrition project proposals and budgets in consultation with technical leads.
- Carry out other duties related to nutrition as assigned by the line manager.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
The Nutrition Coordinator should have the following skills, education, and experience:
- Relevant University degree in nutrition, public health, or a related field.
- A medical background is considered a plus and may enhance the candidate’s ability to understand and address health-related challenges in nutrition.
- At least three years of experience in the nutrition sector.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
- Ability to facilitate communication and act as a liaison between program staff and other stakeholders.
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and other relevant software tools for tracking, reporting, and data management.
