General Description of the Organization:

Ghiras Al-Nahda is a Nonprofit Non-governmental humanitarian organization working to empower people through fulfilling their basic needs and seeking to improve community stability and resilience.

Job Purpose:

Ghiras Al-Nahda is seeking a Fundraising & Emergency Campaigns Manager to lead and coordinate a team of volunteers inside Syria. The role focuses on developing and executing community-driven initiatives, emergency response campaigns, and fundraising strategies that support relief, education, child protection, and other humanitarian sectors.

The manager will be responsible for fundraising strategy development, emergency campaign management, donor engagement, and media impact representation, while leveraging crowdfunding tools and digital platforms to maximize individual and collective donations.

Duties & Responsibilities:

1. Strategic Planning & Department Management

  • Develop the department’s strategic vision, goals, and annual operational plans and oversee their execution.
  • Lead and manage a team of volunteers across Syria, ensuring efficient project execution.
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure alignment of campaigns with ongoing programs.

2. Fundraising & Campaign Development

  • Design and implement innovative crowdfunding campaigns using digital fundraising platforms.
  • Develop and refine individual and collective fundraising tools and techniques to optimize donor contributions.
  • Identify potential donors and establish long-term relationships with individuals and institutions.
  • Effectively communicate with donors and maintain an updated database of all donors and partners.
  • Send regular reports and updates to donors on the impact of their contributions and the activities carried out.
  • Leverage funded projects to attract more donations and enhance fundraising efforts.
  • Build strong partnerships with local and international organizations to expand funding opportunities.

3. Media Engagement & Impact Representation

  • Collaborate closely with the media team to create compelling content showcasing the impact of campaigns.
  • Represent the organization in media appearances, conferences, and relevant events.
  • Develop and manage digital awareness campaigns to boost engagement and fundraising through social media.
  • Utilize success stories and social impact narratives to build trust and encourage more donations.

4. Field Operations & Implementation Supervision

  • Oversee the execution of emergency campaigns across Syrian provinces, ensuring effective implementation.
  • Be available for field visits across Syria to supervise activities and volunteers when needed.
  • Ensure adherence to humanitarian standards and accountability in all community and relief initiatives.

5. Continuous and deep coordination with the organization’s departments, and sending reports to the CEO

Qualifications, Skills, and Experience

  • Age: 25 – 40 years old.
  • Education: University degree in Business Administration, Social Sciences, Media, or related fields.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years in fundraising, campaign management, or humanitarian organizations.
  • Fluent in English and Arabic (mandatory).
  • Proficiency in crowdfunding techniques and global fundraising platforms (e.g., GoFundMe, GlobalGiving).
  • Experience in volunteer team management and leadership.
  • Strong communication, persuasion, and donor engagement skills.
  • Solid media knowledge to amplify the impact of campaigns and coordinate with media teams.
  • Strong understanding of social media platforms and digital marketing strategies in the humanitarian sector.
  • Expertise in project management, strategic planning, and negotiation.
  • Proficient in MS Office tools and data analysis software.
