Tearfund in Ethiopia is looking for a highly competent and experienced Business Development Lead (BDL), to support the Ethiopia Country Programme in maintaining the existing grant portfolio and developing its planned expansion in line with Tearfund Country Strategy. Along with our in-country partners, we have supported the establishment and development of more than 20,000 self-help groups (SHGs) across 50 locations in Ethiopia, as a sustainable, holistic approach to fighting poverty.
The Business Development Lead (BDL) takes the lead to produce high quality proposals to access donor funding for the country office and selected partners. The BDL will provide accountability to those donors whilst ensuring compliance to donor and Tearfund rules and conditions.The role maintains current relationships, and/or establishes new relationships with donors & Tearfund strategic partners. Identifies new areas for engagement, and research the latest in the humanitarian/development/ sector and creates new funding opportunities and products for potential donors.

Do you have proven experience in in both Local and/or International NGO with similar position: Proposal development (narrative and budgets) and donor reporting, Proven ability to develop winning proposals for public and/or private sector donors, proven experience of logframe development and project cycle management, Project design and implementation, strategic planning, capacity-building.
