Position Overview

Under the direction of the HR Manager. The Human Resources (HR) Assistant is responsible for supporting the human resources department with the day-to-day operations. This position provides administrative and operational support to other human resource staff, maintains employee personnel files, and assists with various human resources functions to include scheduling of various meetings and events.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support all internal and external HR related inquiries or requests
  • Maintain employee personnel files
  • Maintains human resources records for employees by recording the hiring, transfer, termination, change in job classifications, and merit increase data and letters
  • Assist with management of Human Resources Intranet page
  • Assist with completion of compensation and benefit documentation
  • Assist with performance management procedures
  • Schedule meetings, interviews, HR events and maintain agendas
  • Assist with coordination of training sessions and seminars
  • Sets up and schedules complicated meetings for interviewees, hiring managers, employees, and department heads
  • Maintain calendars of the Talent Management Team.
  • Reconcile, verify and process vendor invoices
  • Maintain confidentiality

Basic Requirements

  • Associate’s degree and two (2) years of related experience or equivalent number of years of experience and education
  • One (1) year of administrative support experience
  • Microsoft Suite experience
  • HR assistant experience
  • Scheduling experience
  • Spreadsheet experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Superb organizational and time management skills
  • Reliable and can accurately follow instructions
  • Ability to multitask
