About Us

ACLED (Armed Conflict Location & Event Data Project) is designed for disaggregated conflict analysis and crisis mapping. This dataset codes the locations, dates and types of all reported conflict events in over 50 countries in the developing world. Data are available for public download from the data page. ACLED is directed by Prof. Clionadh Raleigh and is associated with the International Peace Research Institute (PRIO). ACLED has been supported by the World Bank’s Development Economics Group Research Support Budget, the Irish Research Council, Minerva project funding through the CCAPS program and the European Research Commission.
