ECO Consult responds to the tender of the new GIZ project on Improved living conditions and psychosocial support in the Context of flight and displacement in South Sudan

Brief project description
The project objective of this new German technical cooperation project is: “The nutritional, economic and psychosocial living conditions of returnees, IDPs and members of host communities are improved”. The aim is to
- increase the production, diversity and quality of food and to provide advice on improved nutrition,
- implement education and qualification measures to improve the opportunities of young adults to generate income and strengthen their everyday resilience. Furthermore,
- increase the well-being of local people through psychosocial offers in the context of violence, flight and lack of perspective.
You will contribute to Output 2: The provision of needs-based, gender, context and conflict sensitive qualification measures for returnees, internally displaced persons and members of host communities host communities, in particular women and youth, in the agricultural agricultural sector is improved. With the main activities:
- (Further) development and implementation of training measures in the field of agriculture and entrepreneurship
- Technical advisory services for micro-enterprises
- Implementation of tracing measures
Fulltime job: 400 working days between January 2023 and October 2024.
Location: 2 Positions 1 based in Yei , 1 based on Magwi
Tasks
- Development of an operational plan and continuous updating of a specific action plan based on the results of the analyses to be conducted at the training centres of Yei or Magwi
- Organisation and coordination of the implementation of a labour market and demand and needs analysis on qualification requirements in the field of agriculture and entrepreneurship, as well as the comparison of the results with the already existing qualification offers of other actors on site
- Organise and coordinate the development of qualification offers together with the partners on the basis of identified needs and their integration into the training centre’s offerings, close content-related consultation with the staff responsible for Output 1 (on qualification needs in the field of agriculture) and Output 3 (on linking with psychosocial support services)
- Organisation and coordination of the development and implementation of training courses for technical and managerial staff of the training centre
- Monitoring and evaluation of the implementation process of planned activities (incl. retention studies)
- Regular exchange with the responsible GIZ staff of the project, as well as with the partner institutions and other donors
- Planning, steering and monitoring of the short-term experts to be deployed
Qualification requirements
Education: University degree (diploma/master’s degree) in nutritional sciences, agriculture or a similarly relevant technical course of study
Language skills
- English, C1 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages;
- Arabic, C1 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages;
General work experience :
- 10 years of professional experience in the field of vocational education and training in contexts of fragility and displacement
- 5 years of experience in promoting entrepreneurship in contexts of fragility and refugee fragility and displacement
Specific work experience:
- 10 years of professional experience in the development of with a focus on the conception and implementation of needs-based training programmes and implementation of needs-based programmes, especially in the agricultural sector;
- 2 years of experience in the implementation of training measures.
