Project/Reason for hiring
Tecnologías y Servicios Agrarios, SA, SME, MP, a subsidiary of GRUPO TRAGSA, specialising in engineering, consulting and technical assistance activities in agricultural, livestock, forestry and environmental matters, is seeking to recruit 1 Integrated Water Resources Management Technician (IWRM) – Water and Sanitation Cooperation Fund of the AECID (Spanish Agency for International Development Cooperation)

Duties and Tasks
Support the development and monitoring of programs related to hydrological planning, IWRM and water security.
Support the development of capacities to implement IWRM in the countries, participating in the organization of courses and workshops.
Support the development of guidelines, directives or guides that facilitate the implementation of IWRM in LAC countries and contribute to knowledge management.
Promote the IWRM vision both in the countries and specifically in the Fund’s programs, from the moment of their conception, accompanying them to transmit this management model and thereby contribute to the achievement of the SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals) and the HRWS (human rights to water and sanitation).
Identify good practices in relation to the implementation of Integrated Water Resources Management (IWRM). Monitoring instruments.
Review technical documents.
Specific Requirements
Compliance with the requirements must be justified by attaching the following documents in the ‘Annexes’ section of the application (or during the process), as appropriate:
Official training certificate or proof of payment for the application for the degree or academic certificate of completed studies (including the Final Project).
Employment history and/or employment contract that allows to verify and accredit the required experience.
Education
Qualification
Engineering degree (Level 3 MECES), Bachelor’s degree or Official Master’s degree in one of the following branches: Agronomy, Geology, Roads, Canals and Ports, Forestry, Industrial, Mines, Environmental Sciences, Business Sciences, Biology, Architecture or Degree in Fundamentals of Architecture. (Qualification approved in Spain)
Languages
English, Minimum Level B1 (the level will be verified during the Selection process).
Previous Experience
At least 3 years of work experience in the water sector
At least 2 years performing functions of preparing hydrological plans, projects with integrated management of water resources and water security
Other Essential Requirements
Possibility of traveling to the Latin America and the Caribbean area

Observations
Offered:
– Fixed-term contract with an estimated duration of 5 months, associated with the execution of the order detailed in the publication for the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience plan or with financing coming from European Union Funds.

In the case of qualifications obtained from foreign universities and/or centres, they must be recognised in Spain and the corresponding supporting documentation must be attached to the application as an Annex.
