We bring together 188 national human rights associations active in 116 countries. For us, the transformation of societies is first and foremost the responsibility of local actors. Our activities aim to strengthen their capacity for action and their influence.

The International Secretariat, which carries out FIDH’s missions on a daily basis, is made up of an international team of 70 employees based at the headquarters in Paris and in other offices (Belgium, Switzerland, the Netherlands, Thailand, Colombia, the African continent), as well as consultants who occasionally work on different programs. It is structured into an Operations and Programs Department and an Advocacy Department as well as Support Departments (Communication, Finance, Fundraising, Human Resources, etc.).

We are recruiting: AN INTERN IN INTERNAL COMMUNICATIONS AND SOCIAL NETWORKS – 6 MONTHS

The communications department brings together a caring team of 6 people. An opportunity to implement your skills within an international team, to serve a meaningful cause: the defense of human rights alongside those who, on a daily basis, concretely change the world. Your missions will be the following:

A / Support for digital communication

  • Writing and publishing on social networks: Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Linkedin and YouTube in conjunction with the digital communications manager and the thematic and geographic offices
  • Support for content creation (particularly video editing)
  • Identification of influencers
  • Monitoring and evaluation of communication actions (monthly reporting, specific)
  • Monitoring the latest web and social media trends
  • Support in the implementation and monitoring of international communication campaigns and actions
  • Support for moderation of FIDH social networks (private messages, comments)
  • Support for content translations (French, English, Spanish)
  • Posting of articles on the FIDH website

B / Internal communication support

  • Assistance with the design, production and updating of our internal communication tools in the communications department (user guides, graphic charter, presentations, reports, etc.)
  • Analysis and production of monthly reports on the results of communication actions and campaigns
  • Iconographic research
  • Internal sharing of departmental activity with other offices and member organizations
  • Support for the organization of events

Profile of the intern:

  • You are preparing a bac +4/5 in communication, international relations or other relevant field,
  • You have an excellent level in French or English + a good command of the other language (level B2 or C1). Knowledge of a third language (Arabic, Spanish, Russian, etc.) would be a plus,
  • You have excellent writing skills,
  • You have mastered editing tools (Adobe Premiere, Capcut, CANVA, etc.),
  • You are particularly interested in the digital world and you already have a good command of the web and social networks,
  • You demonstrate commitment, versatility, writing skills, rigor and organization,
  • You are engaged and interested in current events,
  • In total agreement with the values ​​at work of the International Secretariat of the FIDH (professionalism, respect, commitment, equality, integrity, participation, audacity), as well as with the fights carried out by the FIDH for the defense of the human rights of all, everywhere in the world, explained in particular in its statutes and through its publications accessible from its website: www.fidh.org .

Terms :

  • Full-time internship (39 hours per week)
  • Mandatory condition: have an internship agreement issued by a French law educational establishment.
  • Monthly allowance of €659.76. Dematerialized meal voucher card with a face value of €9, 60% covered by the FIDH. Sustainable mobility package for home-work travel
  • 12 days of RTT over the period and acquisition of 2 days of paid leave per month
  • The internship will take place at the FIDH headquarters in Paris and partly via telework.

Duration of the internship : 6 months
