Created in 1979, Action contre la Faim is a non-governmental organization that fights against hunger. RESPONSIBILITIES
Your mission will be to ensure the overall management of the Heads of Support Departments (HR, Logistic and Finance) and provide support to the Country Director.
More specifically your tasks will be :
– to coordinate support departments’ strategy and to ensure operational management of all support areas.
– To represent and liaise on behalf of Support Departments with donors, authorities, UN, NGOs.
– To provide inputs on HR, Finance and Logistics Constraints and opportunities.
– To manage the support teams (HR, Finance and Logistic department).
– To follow-up on management of HR, Finance, and Logistics rules.
– To support on Internal and external audit.
– To proactively support ACFs commitments to gender equality and child protection sensitivity
REQUESTED PROFILE
– You hold a master degree (or Bachelor degree with 5 years relevant professional experince)
– You have at least 4 years of humanitarian experience; with at least 2 years experience, in finance, HR or logistics management.
– You have at least one year professional experience in a different country than Afghanistan and at least 3 years of team leadership.
– You have a 2 years minimal experience with ACF, an excellent knowledge and/ or understanding of ACF financial, HR and logistics system and methodologies (ACF shared cost methodology, SAGA, Homere, LINK…).
– You are have the experience of working in a complex, very constrained and sensitive environment.
– You show excellent organizational and interpersonal skills, excellent negotiation skills; Excellent adaptation and culturally sensitivity skills.
– You have a very strong understanding of humanitarian programme management.
– A significant experience with external representation with stakeholders and potential donors Significant experience of resource mobilization will be appreciated.
– You are known as able to demonstrate leadership in representation with other humanitarian and development actors.
– You are fluent un english language (spoken and written)
– A significant experience of managing strategic partnership will be appreciated.
– You have a knowledge and understanding of the Central Asian context, especially in Afghanistan (strongly preferred).
– A great sense of humour is highly appreciated
SPECIFIC CONDITIONS / SALARY
– Fixed term contract under French legislation: 12 months
– Monthly gross salary from 2899 to 3376 EUR upon experience
– Reimbursement of the pension insurance for non-French citizens: 16% of the gross monthly salary
– Annual salary increase: 6% increase after and each 12 months of continuous contract
– Monthly per diem and living allowance: 625EUR net, field paid
– Monthly country allowance: 450EUR
– Cold allowance: Reimbursement for the purchase of winter equipment for a maximum of 380EUR per person per year in severe cold contexts
– Child allowance: 1500EUR per year per child present in the country of origin (maximum 6000EUR/year)
– Transportation and accommodation: Coverage of transportation costs and guest house
– Medical coverage: ACF covers 100% of the social security, health insurance, and repatriation insurance agreement fees.
