About: Action Against Hunger
Founded in 1979, Action Against Hunger is an international non-governmental organization that fights against hunger worldwide. Its charter of humanitarian principles – independence, neutrality, non-discrimination, free and direct access to victims, professionalism, transparency – has been its identity for over 40 years. Its mission is to save lives by eliminating hunger through the prevention, detection and treatment of undernutrition, particularly during and after emergencies related to conflicts and natural disasters. Action Against Hunger coordinates its programs around 5 areas of activity: Nutrition and Health – Mental Health, Psychosocial Support and Protection – Food Security and Livelihoods – Water, Sanitation and Hygiene – Advocacy. Mission :
Under the supervision of the Logistics Department Manager, your mission will be to ensure the optimization of Action Against Hunger’s purchases.
More specifically, your responsibilities will be to:
Contribute to the definition, implementation and revisions of the mission’s purchasing strategies
Coordinate the mission’s purchasing activities
Manage the mission’s strategic purchases
Ensure the compliance of purchasing activities in compliance with ACF procedures and relevant donors
Ensure the mission’s purchasing performance

Profile :
You hold a Bac+3 (minimum) in Logistics, Purchasing or equivalent, with at least 2 years of professional experience in these fields, and at least 2 years of experience in a humanitarian mission in the field.
You have already successfully managed teams.
You have good interpersonal skills (partners, authorities) and know how to demonstrate professionalism and confidentiality.
Rigorous, organized and flexible, you have good analytical and adaptation skills. You
are very proficient in IT (Excel, Word and Internet), as well as French and English, both orally and in writing.
Conditions of employment
Vaccination against Mpox is recommended for employees travelling to this country.
Fixed-term contract under French law: 12 months until 12/31/2025
Gross monthly salary: from 2130 to 2475 euros depending on experience, including 13th month
Retirement insurance reimbursement for non-French citizens: 16% of gross monthly salary
Increase in basic salary: 6% every 12 months of continuous contract
Per diem and monthly living expenses: $974 net, paid in the field
Monthly context allowance: 150 euros
Child allowance: 1500 euros per year and per child present in the country of origin (ceiling of 6000 euros/year)
Transportation and accommodation: Coverage of travel and collective accommodation
Medical coverage: 100% coverage of health contributions (CFE + supplementary health insurance) and repatriation insurance
Salary maintenance arrangements (sickness, maternity, paternity)
Leave and RnR: 25 days per year CP and 20 RnR per year; cover for the ticket with ceiling to go to the chosen break zone, and 215 euros of fixed allowance per RnR
Support and training Monitoring and support for professional career
Unlimited and free access to the Talentsoft e-learning platform
Field trips: Ituri, North Kivu, Mai Ndombé
