About: Action against Hunger
Created in 1979, Action Against Hunger is an international non-governmental organization that fights against world hunger. Its charter of humanitarian principles – independence, neutrality, non-discrimination, free and direct access to victims, professionalism, transparency – has founded its identity for more than 40 years. Its mission is to save lives by eliminating hunger through the prevention, detection and treatment of undernutrition, particularly during and after emergencies linked to conflict and natural disasters. Action Against Hunger coordinates its programs around 5 areas of activity: Nutrition and Health – Mental Health, Psychosocial Support and Protection – Food Security and Livelihoods – Water, Sanitation and Hygiene – Advocacy. Assignment :
Under the supervision of the Country Director, you will ensure the coordination of Action Against Hunger interventions in its area of intervention. You will work in collaboration with a team of 6 people: an Assistant Field Program Coordinator, a SERA Manager, a Logistics Manager, a Finance Manager, an HR Manager and a Security Advisor.
In this context, your missions will be to:
Coordinate the implementation of ACF’s country strategy in the intervention area
Coordinate the entire implementation of programs in the field
Manage the teams in your area
Facilitate good relations with coordination teams
Represent ACF and ensure relations with partners, authorities, United Nations agencies and NGOs in its area of intervention
Ensure reporting and communication
Manage the safety and security of the base
Profile:
You hold a higher diploma (Bac+4) in project management or other relevant fields related to the requirements of the position.
You have demonstrated experience in project management and planning, multi-sector program management, as well as program budget management.
You have good communication and writing skills, and have successfully written project proposals.
You know how to manage teams and monitor performance. You are capable of leadership, integrity and honesty.
You have good stress and complexity management skills, and know how to demonstrate emotional intelligence.
Working in an international environment, fluency in English is necessary, both oral and written.
Terms of employment
Fixed-term contract under French law: 12 months
Gross monthly salary: from 2597 to 2968 euros depending on experience
Retirement insurance reimbursement for non-French citizens: 16% of gross monthly salary
Increase in base salary: 6% every 12 months of continuous contract
Per diem and monthly living expenses: 619 euros net, paid in the field
Monthly context allowance: 450 euros
Child allowance: 1500 euros per year and per child present in the country of origin (ceiling of 6000 euros/year)
Transport and accommodation: Coverage for travel and collective accommodation
Medical Coverage: 100% of coverage for health contributions (CFE + supplementary health) and repatriation insurance
Salary maintenance schemes (sickness, maternity, paternity)
Leave and RnR: 25 days per year of CP and 20 RnR per year; payment of the ticket with ceiling to go to the chosen break zone, and 215 euros of fixed compensation per RnR
