Created in 1979, Action Against Hunger is an international non-governmental organization that fights against hunger in the world. Its charter of humanitarian principles – independence, neutrality, non-discrimination, free and direct access to victims, professionalism, transparency – has founded its identity for more than 40 years. Its mission is to save lives by eliminating hunger through the prevention, detection and treatment of undernutrition, particularly during and after emergencies linked to conflict and natural disasters. Assignment :
In conjunction with the Regional Logistics Referent, you will have to participate in the compliance and performance of the logistics operations of the pool’s missions, your role will be to ensure logistical operational continuity in the Central Africa region and in the pool.
More precisely, you will be in charge of:
Guaranteeing the logistical compliance of missions.
Ensure validation of files. purchasing (in accordance with the RLR delegation of responsibility rules).
Ensure the screening of suppliers selected by the missions.
Guarantee the feasibility and compliance of ACF logistics procedures.
Provide technical and logistical support to field teams.
Guarantee the implementation of mission logistics strategies.
Produce performance analyzes and capitalize on them in the form of reports.
Contribute to the capitalization of good logistics practices, document and disseminate them.
Contribute to proposals for improving logistics systems (tools, procedures, flows, etc.).
Supervise the field logistics team (functional and/or hierarchical).
Organize the recruitment and integration of team members.
Train and promote the development of the skills of your team members.
Profile:
Coming from higher education in logistics, you already have significant experience of at least 4 years in humanitarian logistics, including two as Department Manager or logistics coordinator in the field with ACF or another NGO of similar size.
You have developed real expertise in humanitarian logistics and the continuous improvement actions to be implemented to optimize processes.
You speak French and English and are able to work in a multicultural environment both at headquarters and in the field where you will be required to travel.
You are professionally recognized for your adaptation skills and your teaching methods.
Terms of employment
Status: Independent executive – 10-month fixed-term contract – Full-time
Location: Montreuil (Seine-Saint-Denis)
Remuneration: From 40K to 50K euros gross annually over 13 months depending on experience
Seniority bonus from 3 years of presence at headquarters

Several field trips are to be planned during the year depending on needs
