Mission :

As Logistics Manager, you will provide leadership, strategic direction and management of commodity management activities implemented by the RFSA activity in Madagascar. You will lead the merchandise management and logistics team, responsible for the planning, importation, storage, distribution, tracking and reporting of all products purchased by the business.

More specifically, you will be in charge of the following missions:

Establish and manage the product supply chain, including storage facilities and transportation, for all products supplied by the RFSA business.
Provide guidance and supervision of the activity’s logistics team, including coordination with the activity’s financial and management teams.
Manage relationships with the business’s international shipping, freight and clearing agent partners.
Lead the identification and establishment of transport routes from the points of arrival of products in the country to the beneficiary populations, taking into account annual variations in the viability of the routes.
Oversee the establishment of standard operating procedures for logistics management, to ensure the importation, storage, transportation, distribution, tracking, forecasting, reporting and monitoring of all commodities of the activity.
Ensure that all movements of goods are properly documented and stored in accordance with standard operating procedures.

Profile :

You have a bachelor’s degree in supply chain management or a relevant field. A master’s degree will be preferred.
You have at least 8 years of experience in supply chain management, with experience in low-resource settings.
You have proven experience in managing food raw materials supply chains, from sourcing to distribution.
You have excellent oral and written communication skills.
You speak and write French and English fluently.
Ideally, you have work experience in Madagascar.

Fixed-term contract of 24 months with a possibility of extending the contract according to French law or according to Malagasy law (Funding pending)
