About: Action against Hunger
Created in 1979, Action Against Hunger is an international non-governmental organization that fights against world hunger. Its charter of humanitarian principles – independence, neutrality, non-discrimination, free and direct access to victims, professionalism, transparency – has founded its identity for more than 40 years. Its mission is to save lives by eliminating hunger through the prevention, detection and treatment of undernutrition, particularly during and after emergencies linked to conflict and natural disasters. Action Against Hunger coordinates its programs around 5 areas of activity: Nutrition and Health – Mental Health, Psychosocial Support and Protection – Food Security and Livelihoods – Water, Sanitation and Hygiene – Advocacy. Assignment :
Under the supervision of the Zone Coordinator, the Logistics Manager will have to implement the mission’s logistics policy to guarantee logistics performance and provide the best support to the programs in their zone.
More precisely, your missions will be as follows:
Manage the logistics activity of the area.
Sizing logistics capacities to meet program needs.
Monitor and analyze logistics indicators in your area.
Implement and guarantee the performance of the supply chain.
Implement and guarantee the performance of general resources.
Implement and guarantee IT, network and telecommunications performance.
Contribute to security management.
Implement and monitor collaboration and logistical coordination with partners in the intervention area.
Supervise and support the Logistics team.
Organize the work of the base logistics department and delegate activities and monitor their proper execution.
Produce a complete monthly logistics report.
Profile:
Coming from a Bac +4 Bac +5 training in logistics and/or transport (international transport option / stock management / vehicle fleet management are a plus), you are a professional in humanitarian logistics and you have proof of ‘international experience with ACF in a similar position or with an NGO of similar size of at least 5 years, including at least 2 years in conflict zones or in fragile contexts.
You are professionally recognized for your ability to set up and follow logistics management plans in NGOs.
You have demonstrated training skills and are keen to increase the skills and empower your teams.
You are recognized for your sense of diplomacy and your interpersonal skills, adaptation and rapid understanding.
You must have very good knowledge of NGO and donor logistics procedures.
You are aware of the commitments to the objectives, the intervention principles of Action Against Hunger and the standard documents.
Terms of employment
6 months of fixed-term contract under French law.
Start date: 01/06/2024
Gross monthly starting salary from 2130 euros to 2475 euros depending on experience.
Per diem and monthly living expenses: 973 euros (see eurocost) net, paid on the ground.
Monthly context allowance: 450 euros
Child allowance: 1500 euros per year per child present in the country of origin (ceiling of 6000 euros/year) 16% of gross monthly salary for retirement insurance reimbursement for non-French citizens.
Transport and accommodation: Coverage for travel and collective accommodation
Medical Coverage: 100% of coverage for health contributions (CFE + complementary health) and repatriation insurance
Leave and RnR: 25 days per year, 20 RTT per year and 215 euros paid during the recovery period
Training: Unlimited and free access to the Crossknowledge © certified e-learning platform
