Founded in 1979, Action Against Hunger is an international non-governmental organization that fights against hunger worldwide. Its charter of humanitarian principles – independence, neutrality, non-discrimination, free and direct access to victims, professionalism, transparency – has been its identity for over 40 years. Its mission is to save lives by eliminating hunger through the prevention, detection and treatment of undernutrition, particularly during and after emergencies related to conflicts and natural disasters. Assignment :
Under the supervision of the Area Coordinator, the Logistics Manager will have to implement the mission’s logistics policy to guarantee logistics performance and provide the best support to the programs in their area.
More specifically, your missions will be as follows:
Manage the logistics activity of the area.
Size the logistics capacities in order to meet the needs of the programs.
Monitor and analyze the logistics indicators in its area.
Implement and guarantee the performance of the supply chain.
Implement and guarantee the performance of general resources.
Implement and guarantee the performance of IT, networks and telecommunications.
Contribute to security management.
Implement and ensure the monitoring of collaboration and logistics coordination with partners in the intervention area.
Supervise and support the Logistics team.
Organize the work of the logistics department of the base and delegate activities and monitor their proper execution.
Produce a complete monthly logistics report.
Profile:
With a Bac +4 / Bac +5 qualification in logistics and/or transport (international transport / stock management / vehicle fleet management options are a plus), you are a humanitarian logistics professional and you have at least 5 years of international experience with ACF in a similar position or with an NGO of similar size, including at least 2 years in conflict zones or fragile contexts.
You are professionally recognized for your ability to set up and monitor logistics management plans in NGOs.
You have proven training skills and are keen to improve the skills and empower your teams.
You are recognized for your sense of diplomacy and your interpersonal, adaptability and rapid understanding skills.
You must have very good knowledge of NGO and donor logistics procedures.
You are aware of the commitments to the objectives, the intervention principles of Action Against Hunger and the standard documents.
YOUR EMPLOYMENT CONDITIONS
Fixed-term contract under French law: 12 months
Gross monthly salary: from 2130 to 2475 euros depending on experience
Retirement insurance reimbursement for non-French citizens: 16% of gross monthly salary
Increase in basic salary: 6% every 12 months of continuous contract
Per diem and monthly living expenses: 973 euros net, paid in the field
Monthly context allowance: 450 euros
Child allowance: 1500 euros per year and per child present in the country of origin (ceiling of 6000 euros/year)
Transport and accommodation: Coverage of travel and collective accommodation
Medical coverage: 100% coverage of health contributions (CFE + supplementary health insurance) and repatriation insurance
Salary maintenance arrangements (sickness, maternity, paternity)
Leave and RnR: 25 days per year of CP and 20 RnR per year; support for the ticket with ceiling to go to the chosen break zone, and 215 euros of fixed compensation per RnR
