About: Action against Hunger
Created in 1979, Action Against Hunger is an international non-governmental organization that fights against world hunger. Its charter of humanitarian principles – independence, neutrality, non-discrimination, free and direct access to victims, professionalism, transparency – has founded its identity for more than 40 years. Its mission is to save lives by eliminating hunger through the prevention, detection and treatment of undernutrition, particularly during and after emergencies linked to conflict and natural disasters. Assignment :
Within the Safety & Security department of field missions, you will work in support of the Operations Department! Your role will be to support the security unit in its activities. This involves participating in monitoring mission security procedures and following themes or contexts to support security management by missions.
Under the supervision of the Head of the Safety and Security department for field missions, your missions will be as follows:
You will participate in the operation of the service by being responsible for specific tasks:
Feed the incident database and follow up in the reporting tool ADS
Participate in security unit meetings at ACF-France and ACF-IN level, draft reports.
Assist the Deputy Director in the preparation of meeting materials
Follow up on mandatory briefings for expatriates
Support the Safety Skills Development Coordinator in updating and creating training modules for field teams
Follow up on training carried out by the safety unit and in the field
Participate in the organization of the face-to-face safety workshop
Participate in the organization and animation of the road safety awareness campaign week
You will also support the Regional Safety Representatives in their activities:
On request, carry out geopolitical context analyzes and identify security consequences for missions
Assist in the management and proofreading of security documentation coming from their missions
Monitor the use of the Base Security Monitoring tool
Profile:
Currently in Master 2 level training in the humanitarian field or in international risk management, you have a very strong interest in humanitarian, international and security issues. You are also recognized for your strong capacity for analysis, synthesis, autonomy and rigor. Finally, you have excellent oral and written communication in both French and English.
Terms of employment
Mandatory Condition: Have an internship agreement issued by a French educational establishment
Duration of the Internship: 6 months
Location: Montreuil, IDF
Salary Conditions:
Internship compensated up to the legal minimum hourly bonus (based on 35 hours/week)
21 days of RTT (prorated to the time spent in the organization)
Days of absence for exams, university research, etc.
Transport: 50% of the package covered between home and work
Meal vouchers: 60% covered by the association for a value of 8euros
175euros/year (social works) and reduction on travel tickets cinema
Teleworking: Open to all and from the metropolitan territory, the teleworking policy defines the activities of the position requiring an imperative presence time at the headquarters, and allows you to choose to exercise fully or in part the rest of this time teleworking. To this end, compulsory presence at headquarters has not been defined for this position. Presence time at headquarters will also be dedicated to collective sharing: 3 days per month on average for meetings and collective events and 2 days of compulsory presence for the first 6 weeks when you join the team.
