Mission :

Vital’im Project – Action against Hunger and Urban Agriculture Chair of AgroParisTech

Reporting to the Vital’im Mission France Project Manager, your missions will be as follows:

Establish a typology of the different types of support offered

-Propose a typology of support activities in health-nutrition-sustainable food, by defining relevant criteria to characterize the different practices.
-Participate in the project activities and organize exchanges with partner associations to collect the information necessary for this characterization.

Analyze the impact of support activities on users through qualitative interviews

-Design qualitative interview guides to complement quantitative surveys on changes in eating practices.
-Conduct interviews with users and support stakeholders to further analyze the links between participation in activities and changes in eating practices.

Propose an analysis and recommendations by type of support

-Conduct an in-depth analysis of the data from the support typology and qualitative interviews.
-Formulate recommendations adapted for each support typology, taking into account the specificities of the territories and the needs of the target audiences.

The aim of this internship is to strengthen the monitoring and evaluation system of the Vital’im project, by measuring the impact of the “health-nutrition-sustainable food” support activities on the adaptation of users’ eating habits. Operational supervision will be provided by Action Against Hunger, while academic monitoring will be handled by the Urban Agriculture Chair of AgroParisTech.

Profile :

To access this position, it is necessary to be in a master’s degree, ideally in social sciences, regional planning, local development, geography, political science or agronomy. You have basic knowledge of precariousness, sustainable food and changes in practices towards sustainable food. You have writing, analysis and synthesis skills, as well as mastery of survey techniques and postures (semi-directed interviews, participant observation). You demonstrate interpersonal skills and have a good ability to communicate with all audiences, particularly those in precarious situations. You are autonomous, proactive, able to work in a team and report on your work. Mastery of the Office Pack is essential. Advanced mastery of French is required.

Conditions of employment

Mandatory Condition: Have an internship agreement issued by a French law educational establishment
Duration of the Internship: 6 months

Salary Conditions:
Internship paid at a rate of 4.57 euros net per hour (based on 35 hours per week)
Weekly working hours (38.75 hours)
21 days of RTT (prorated to the time spent in the organization) Days of absence for exams, university research, etc.
Coverage of up to 50% of public transport costs

Telework:
Open to all and from the metropolitan area, the telework policy defines the activities of the position requiring a mandatory presence time at the headquarters, and allows you to choose to exercise fully or partially the rest of this time by telework. To this end, a mandatory presence at the headquarters of 12 days per month has been defined for this position in addition to travel in the field. Times of presence at the headquarters will also be dedicated to collective sharing: 3 days per month on average for meetings and collective events.
