About: Action Against Hunger
Founded in 1979, Action Against Hunger is an international non-governmental organization that fights against hunger worldwide. Its charter of humanitarian principles – independence, neutrality, non-discrimination, free and direct access to victims, professionalism, transparency – has been its identity for over 40 years. Its mission is to save lives by eliminating hunger through the prevention, detection and treatment of undernutrition, particularly during and after emergencies related to conflicts and natural disasters. Assignment :
Reporting to the Regional Finance Manager, your role will be to ensure the reliability of the accounting and financial management of the countries making up the region.
More specifically, your missions will be as follows:
Ensure the quality of budget management in countries.
Control and analyze the budgets of intervention proposals according to the delegation scheme.
Control and analyze the financial strategy of missions, their annual budget and its revision: financial volume, financing plans, structural budget, KPIs, etc.
Provide technical and strategic support in financial management to countries.
Provide decision-making support, advice and solution proposals to Finance Department managers.
Guarantee the accounting compliance of missions.
Supervise the implementation of ACF procedures, formulate recommendations on corrective measures if necessary. and participate in their dissemination.
Contribute to the action plans of your region, operations. and the development of financial management frameworks and policies.
Contribute to the recruitment of financial managers for missions and ensure the functional management of Finance Department Managers in the field.
Profile:
With a higher education of Master 1 or Master 2, business school or university in finance and management, or holder of a DSCG, you have several years of professional experience in finance positions in the field as an administrator and coordinator with an NGO, and/or in international solidarity contexts. Experience at the headquarters of an NGO would be a plus.
Your ability to support teams as a functional manager, as well as excellent command of budget management, are essential.
You have solid skills in donor budgeting and financial management. You are also proficient in accounting software and have a good knowledge of Excel.
With excellent interpersonal skills, you are able to work under pressure and adapt quickly to different issues.
Fluency in English is essential.
Conditions of employment
Status: Integrated executive – 3-month fixed-term contract – Full time
Location: Ile-de-France
Remuneration: From 41K to 50K euros gross per year over 13 months depending on experience
Seniority bonus from 3 years of presence at headquarters
Benefits: 21 days of RTT

Collective face-to-face times imposed / also mandatory by the employer: for collective meetings and events (up to 3 days per month) and 2 days of mandatory presence when you join the team
