Founded in 1979, Action Against Hunger is an international non-governmental organization that fights against hunger worldwide. Its charter of humanitarian principles – independence, neutrality, non-discrimination, free and direct access to victims, professionalism, transparency – has been its identity for over 40 years. Its mission is to save lives by eliminating hunger through the prevention, detection and treatment of undernutrition, particularly during and after emergencies related to conflicts and natural disasters. Assignment :
Under the supervision of the SMSP and Protection Department Manager and Field Manager, your mission will be to guarantee the quality and relevance of the SMSP interventions put in place to ensure the well-being of the most vulnerable populations affected by the crisis or disasters in Goma-Bambo.
More specifically, your role will be to:
Provide analysis on the strategy and positioning of the Mental Health and Psychosocial Support department in the Goma and Bambo regions.
Identify needs and contribute to the formulation of projects in the field of Mental Health and Care Practices.
Ensure the implementation, monitoring and reporting of SMSP projects.
Contribute to quality and accountability processes, as well as to the evaluation of the impact of SMSP programs.
Participate in the coordination, representation and partnerships of Action Against Hunger in your area of intervention.
Train and manage your teams.
Contribute to capitalization and technical development.
Guarantee and ensure the confidentiality of data collected during the mission’s SMSP activities.
Profile:
You hold a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology or Psychiatry, with at least 2 years of experience in these fields and in particular in the psychological management of psychological trauma.
You have at least 2 years of experience as a PMSC and Protection Program Manager in different international NGOs and you have experience in managing integrated multi-sectoral projects. Experience with Action Against Hunger is an asset.
You also have experience in managing and supervising teams both live and remotely. You have good interpersonal skills and are able to set up and execute team capacity building plans.
You have good stress management skills; you have already worked in the field, in a complex context or situation from a security point of view.
You are capable of organization, anticipation and proactivity.
You are particularly competent in analysis, synthesis and problem solving.
You are fluent in French and English, both spoken and written.
YOUR EMPLOYMENT CONDITIONS
Fixed-term contract under French law: 3 months
Start date: As soon as possible
Gross monthly salary: from 2130 to 2475 euros depending on experience
Retirement insurance reimbursement for non-French citizens: 16% of gross monthly salary
Per diem and monthly living expenses: $974 net, paid in the field
Monthly context allowance: 150 euros
Child allowance: 1500 euros per year and per child present in the country of origin (ceiling of 6000 euros/year)
Transportation and accommodation: Coverage of travel and collective accommodation
Medical coverage: 100% coverage of health contributions (CFE + supplementary health insurance) and repatriation insurance
Salary maintenance arrangements (sickness, maternity, paternity)
Leave and RnR: 25 days per year of CP and 20 RnR per year; support for the ticket with ceiling to go to the chosen break zone, and 215 euros of fixed compensation per RnR
