RESPONSIBILITIES

Under the supervision of the Deputy Country Director and supported by the WaSH HoD and HQ WASH Regional Technical advisor, you will work in close collaboration with the German Jordanian University (GJU), Bioforce, and several humanitarian organizations and xperts to monitor implementation of and gradually hand over the management of the new Humanitarian Wash Masters’ Degree based in Jordan. Additionally, identify opportunities to leverage the existing partnership with GJU and for new programming.More precisely you will be in charge of:
– Foster inter-agency coordination around the HWM project
– Maintain,strengthen and build positive donor relations, fundraising and external representation of the consortium
– Lead the development and technical oversight of the Humanitarian WaSH Master
– Participate in pedagogical development and course delivery/review process
– Build GJU’s capacity on humanitarian donor management and ensure strong project cycle management practices for existing grants are implemented by Action Against Hunger as well as by partners.
– Ensure adherence to Action against Hunger gender requirements

REQUESTED PROFILE

You hold an advanced University Degree in WASH and/or Public Health.You have at least 5 years of relevant professional experience
You demonstrate a strong understanding of the WASH activities portfolio and experience in development, climate change, IWRM and WaSH governance is an asset.
You have a proved experience in leading consortia with at least three partners and a significant experience in the Middle East is an asset.
High level of coordination, agility , communication skills and program management skills are required.
You also demonstrate diplomatic skills.

Language level: Proficiency in English, Arabic is an asset.
